If we shoot 45% and get 70% of their misses, we're in excellent shape.

I would add points off turnovers, and key personell foul trouble - i think it's gonna be a physical game. I also think we need to hit at least 10 3's - in fact I'm going w/the 10 3's minimum all year....................

I don't think points off turnovers is a bellwether stat in this game. I anticipate getting our fair share of those.

I do also - but if we don't (get OUr fair share), will surely see that on halftime stats, including if we are down..........a good indicator if we are playing "OUr game"...............

Last year they beat us despite us forcing 31 turnovers. We lost by 3 while shooting 3-26 on 3's. If we show up with a pulse we should win by 10-15 points.

I think this is gonna be a real battle.

71-65 (Colonials scratch back at end but can't close the gap)

Robert Morris has built a nice consistently good program.  Hopefully we can keep this series going.

Is the team spending the night up there?  Since it's the first road game, I thought it might feel less like a road trip if they bus up tomorrow morning and hang out at a hotel for a few hours before going to the arena.

The team leaves for RM tonight. Probably not a bad idea to get used to road trips before Memphis next week.

RMU fan/student here. This is going to be an awesome game. RMU has been very inconsistent this season. They played great on the road @ Xavier despite losing, but played awful @ Rider, and were flat against Savannah St.

RMU will be without two key players, both bigs, and arguably two of their best rebounders. Lijah Thompson tore his ACL, and Keith Armstrong is recovering from a knee injury. Neither has played in a game this season, so they will at least this won’t be new to the team. RMU has played a lot better since getting forward Russell Johnson back, he missed the first 3 games.  I can’t wait to watch the Cooper/Jones match up. It has been excellent the past few years, and will be great once again.

The team plays great at home, and since I have gone to school here, they haven’t lost a game when the place is packed. I would guess they are around 10 and 0 when it’s a near sellout. The student body actually has a pep rally tonight, and it’s expected to the biggest crowd of the season tomorrow, so it will be an amazing atmosphere. RMU has a very small gym, and it gets crazy loud. I hope a lot of Ohio fans can make it, it will simply make it a better atmosphere.

Having two top rebounders out is great news for us. Thanks for the report.

When you look at the 2 close games we played this year we were out rebounded or allowed too many offensive rebound for the opponent.
For me this needs to be fixed.
If we can continue to cause 20 or so turnovers, win the rebounding edge including offensive RB's, then we will be in most all games.

RMU 2013....great report here. I expect a ton of OHIO fans to be in the house. Pittsburgh has a great OHIO alumni base and you are going to hear OHIO fans throughout the game. My brother didn't go to OHIO, but he lives in Pittsburgh and he's going to the game with 3 other non-Bobcats and they will all be wearing green and white.

Good luck tonight and let's hope this series continues. It makes sense for both teams.

Cant find a line anywhere, which seems odd. I guess Vegas is punting on this one.

It's not just that there's no line, it's not even on the board which is really strange. A lot of lesser matchups are there.

Truth be told, I love watching games in those "small" gyms, especially at the time of conference tourneys.  The crowds are usually somewhere between insanity and pandemonium.  A lot of fun to watch.

As to the game, it's one that we should win, but RMU has our number and we can't get careless.

Co-sign. The mid-major conference tournaments are the best part of championship week. With those crowds, especially in games played at campus sites, the crowds are molten-hot because of the stakes. I love it.

Russ and RobCW are having intermittent technical difficulties. The RMU radiofeed is being streamed at http://www.wpitam.com/ if the OHIO/WXTQ stream blanks out

Down big early. No defense? What the hell is going on? (If anyone knows, do tell.)

Maybe a little too fat from too many home cupcakes.  Might want to guard the Anderson kid gentlemen.

RMU is 6-8 on 3's. Sounds like defense is lacking a bit.

Still no one who can contain him. 8-8, 22 pts and 6-6 on 3's. Shooting 38% for the year and 27% on 3's coming into the game.
