Do you ever re-read your old posts? You attack, attack, attack people and then pull your hand back in absolute horror when someone responds. A couple of nights ago, you began a post with "I piss on…" when responding to another board member. Half the time you start inane threads that I can only assume are alcohol or drug induced. And when criticized, you allude to a prominent former board participant who allegedly agrees that the level of discourse has eroded. Here's a tip, Monroe, quit sniffing his glue. From my perspective, your seeming need for attention (example: continually responding to your own posts when no one else does) is alarming and really takes the fun out of this forum.
Dude, have a sense of humor. 'Piss on' was an attempt at hyperbole/humor. Okay, so not your taste. It wasn't directed at any member; it was directed to the topic. You're reading what you want to see too much; read what's there. Of course, I was responding--it's what this board is about. The response was not about any one post or to any one poster/person.
If you assume alcohol or drugs, then you must get that it's a little fringe...an attempt to be offbeat. Try to get the humor. Otherwise, this board lacks much humor..boring. Appreciate the literary stylings and wit , attempts at same. See such as JSF, Brian Smith, Fake Jeff Mck, Recovering Journalist.
'Quit sniffing his glue.' Hey, quit reading my posts if you don't like 'em. Doesn't bother me. Don't really need you to tell me who's right and wrong here. Responding to my own posts offends? Okay. Ignore that if you don't like. That you find that alarming is what's really alarming.
Thanks for being the arbiter of what's fun and what's not. We all have been waiting for your sage blessing.
Sorry, but it's not an attack when I post and you disagree with what I state.
Also, I think it's fair to ask that you characterize my 'body of work' here with a reasonable representation of the truth. Really think that attacking is my modus operandi M O?
[There's one poster who I've directly and repeatedly attacked..and have attacked the mods re him or her. I'll address that in another thread. I think my attack there was very legit.]
I respond to what people write. 1) I respond instead of ignoring...it's a basic level of courtesy in a discussion. 2) I respond to what they actually post, not to what I like to think that they wrote. Stop letting your prejudices distort.
You're a lot better when you respond to the points which I state and with a bit of substance than when you blanket (without regard to what was said) slam.
