First time in a LONG time I'll be tuned in to the draft with any real attention or significant interest tomorrow night!

Best of luck to DJ!

dude from 'kron is too big and too somewhat about defense to not get serious consideration.  not 'cause he should but because that's nature of NBA.

In the past few years, I had written off any chance of DJ getting drafted because I assumed NBA teams would not be able to see past the so-so shooting and lack of height to understand how great he is in all other areas.  After reading all the buzz posted in this thread, I am hooked on the prospect that it may happen, and I'm excited.  I agree the WIzards at #58 seems possible.

I think the Pacers are a really good possibility. Here is Kevin Pelton's draft board, and until recently he consulted for Indiana as an advanced analytics guy. This is easily the highest I've seen DJ rated, and the Pacers have a need for a playmaking PG and would likely be willing to take a flier on one in the 2nd.

Sobering night for the MAC, about the only mid-major conference without a player drafted tonight.

That WILL change if the quality of players coming to us keeps up, and soon

A tough decision coming up for DJ. I'd say go to Europe and make some nice money, but that may be difficult with a young child to take care of.

Are there any MAC players on the horizon who have a draft shot? Pearson?

Of current players, the only one I can see with a shot is Treadwell.

Would have been nice to hear DJ's name called, but frankly, it's probably better to get to pick the situation that's best for you once you fall into the latter half of the draft. I'll still stick with my Indiana prediction; they have the defensive difference makers to cover for DJ's shortcomings, and will have a need for a 2nd point guard as they'll almost certainly let Augustin walk. I doubt DJ will make a team, but I think a team like Indiana might give him a serious look if he plays for them in the summer league, and he could end up in the D-League.

Per Arkley on twitter - @JasonAmessenger: MAC draft drought continues. No picks since 2003

Javon McCrea?

Regarding Treadwell and McCrea, 6'7 PF's who can't shoot or dribble rarely get drafted.

The only guy that really fits that bill who got drafted last night is Arsalan Kazemi, but he had the top Defensive Rebounding % in all of D1 last year.

I'm not a follower of the NBA and have never watched thei draft before last night but I was surprised at the drop off from Round 1 to Round 2. Even the announcers acted like R2 is for scrubs, they seemed very disinterested and at times nearly disrespectful.

There were several players with less impressive resumes than DJ that were drafted, I guess if you're tall and not very good you're a "project" but if you're short and have room for improvement you're just out of luck.

Success rate for 2nd round picks is very, very low.

will be interesting to see how Ndour pans out. Athletic 6' 8" guys with a good motor do well in the draft.

If DJ somehow failed to procure a summer league invite, that would be a really low point for the MAC.

He will get an invite if for no other reason they need players to fill out rosters.  It is the same reason baseball has 60+ rounds.  They don't expect those players to make it, they just need players to round out the lineup and play with the higher picks.  If one rises up and makes it...great.

Does anybody know if Mike Bramos, David Kool or Romeo Travis received invites?   I have to believe that both D.J. and Zeke get summer action.

Based on the links below, here are the names I recognized or saw listed from the Mac. I couldn't find anything for 2011.

2012 - Xavier Silas (NIU, Philadelphia), Jarrod Jones (Ball St., Sacramento), Mike Scott (kent, Washington)
2010 - Armon Bassett (new Orleans). Doesn't look like Kool got an invite
2009 - Michael Bramos (Detroit), Bryson McKenzie (NIU, Dallas), John Edwards (kent, Washington)
2008 - Cavs had Dru Joyce and Romeo Travis on their roster (favor to LEBron?)

Golden State's Summer league schedule.

There's also a summer league app for apple and android that says it will let you watch all the games, but I read somewhere that the live video portion requires a paid subscription.

Link to the Android app

Looks like it's $14.99 for the entire Summer League.
