Is Aaron Craft a nice guy?  If so I will be ashamed of the opinion I've formed of him.  For some reason he reminds me of every cocky, arrogant, obnoxious player I ever ran into (a million years ago when I was a mediocre high school athlete at best).

I've heard that Craft is actually a pretty nice guy.  He does seem like he would be pretty arrogant, but a friend of mine who went to Ohio State said he was nice.

After a 9-0 start, we have been battling them the entire way.  Fouls have been a huge determiner in this one.

Me too!  Ohio's had some open looks in the 2nd half but the shots haven't gone down.

I think the basketball team has more first downs than the football team tonight.  Nice effort.

Not being outplayed.  Maybe a little home court advantage and what seems to be a bit of foul differential but to be expected at this time of the year.

I like more of what I see and feel than otherwise.

I agree DA. This sport showed me something tonight. I never thought I would say that given the deficit. However, I'll take what I see tonight and be optimistic about where we are heading. Can't say that about our football squad.

Thank goodness for hoops. Intensity - honor - effort. That is all I ask.

We're running out of big bodies!  Wadley might have to come into the game!

Either way, Ohio has REALLY shown up this 2nd half!

Good to see that one Ohio team hasn't given up.  Love the energy and the fire.  But it's really difficult to win when you've shot 49 FG tries and the opposition has shot 45 FT tries.  I'm not sure anybody from O$U expected to have their starting five still in the game with three mins left.

Are all the foul outs the refs, or the new rules?

Sad deal. Clearly a charge and add this one to the list. That is why I say we play this game in Athens or not at all. These refs probably have some tie to Columbus State. If not, they are feeding off the sidewalk alumni crowd noise.

I've seen this so many times in the past. However, you have to learn to live with it. I like what I see tonight from OUR BOBCATS (in hoops)!!

Early in this game, lots of shots on the broadcast of refs joking around with OSU players.

We have a good team. OSU is really not much better than us.

We DO have a good team, but OSU is the better team for sure.   They're more athletic , faster and have more weapons than Ohio does, no shame in that.  I even think the refs called a fair game-Ohio's big men were often out of place and OSU made them pay.

That being said, given Ohio's relative inexperience compared to OSU's, Ohio really represented, big time!  You give Ohio a little more experience (and a little Tariq Owens) and watch out!!!!  Go OHIO!!!

Careful, that is a sacrilegious statement to many.

Agreed. They were not only calling the ticky tack fouls(carry call... really? illegal picks when OSU was doing the same) on OU but also bailing out OSU on the offensive end with fouls that just weren't there.

This was EXTREMELY frustrating to watch because we could have won this with more objective officiating. 51 free throws for OSU to only 21 for us. That's ridiculous.

There were a couple calls that went to state because this was state in cbus, but for the most part I think it was the new rules. I think if the rules were the same as last year, we would have won

I would love to get State on a neutral court or in the Convo.  Will never happen because they buy their November and December wins.  I feel pretty good about this teams potential.  A 10 point loss and the opposing team shoots over 50 free throws.  I guess the Big whatever doesn't play a physical brand of basketball like the MAC.  Tough one to swallow.

This type of game can really be useful in preparing for MAC play: bad refs, hostile crowd, foul trouble. But the team fought through all of it. There's no reason this team can't win 20 games and make some post-season noise if they play like this and learn from this.

After seeing this I'm thinking more than 20. Below 25 would surprise me

It's probably due to the fact that he has rosy cheeks, draws invisible fouls, and acts like he has never committed a foul in his life....  Yea..Not my favorite player either.
