Weren't we in the final running for Bergantino?

If Skipper's really did play that Tenacious D song at the end of every night, they probably did it without a modicum of irony.

For anyone in this thread who has not been informed there is a new service for listening and synching to the webcast. Using Bluetooth you should be able to take this in the car or in your motorcycle helmet....or anywhere else you can stream the feed. Tune in radio and stretch internet is nice but this has the ability to adjust the timing tof the feed to synch with the webcast or tv feeds  OHIO is one of 4 schools withthis new technology.

http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/121713aac.html

This week, and for the rest of this season, Ohio fans can dial 712.432.7090 and listen to live broadcasts on the Ohio IMG Sports Network...

...addition, and through a new proprietary application from AudioNow, called AudioMatchTM, fans can match and synchronize the radio broadcast with the telecast to listen to their favorite radio voice while watching the action on TV. By using two telephone keypad buttons, fans can adjust the timing of the radio call to match what they see on TV. During the week, fans can call the number to listen to recorded Bobcats basketball games, as well as live weekday coaches shows
.

The call-to-listen phone number incurs no extra charge and is the equivalent of making a standard mobile call. As data costs continue to rise on mobile devices and unlimited voice plans continue to proliferate, radio-by-phone is emerging as one of the most affordable ways in the United States for listeners to connect to their favorite broadcasters when they are away from the radio, television and Internet.

I just passed the UMASS coaching staff on the sidewalk uptown.  Easy to spot, wearing head to toe UMASS gear...and I recognized their head coach from some UMASS highlight videos I have watched.

(9-1)Ohio @ (10-1)Northern Iowa
line- UNI -6
UNI rpi- #2
AP Poll- UNI #35, 7 votes. Ohio #40, 3 votes.
Final score- Ohio 76, UNI 59

12/18/13
(9-0)UMass @ (7-2)Ohio
line- UMass -1
UMass rpi- #2
AP Poll- UMass #22, 351 votes. Ohio N/A, 0 votes.
Final score- ???

looking for some similarities to our game vs UNI a couple of years ago although I think UMass is likely better than UNI and I'm not sure if we're as good now as we were then, but hoping home court advantage and some good karma will bring us a similar result.

I'm going with Ohio 76, UMass 69. Go Bobcats.

81-75 Minutemen.

You guys aren't going to like one thing (at least) about our team.  They have taken to double-hand slapping the floor on defense before big possessions, usually after we get a basket or two and have some momentum.

The good news for you is that is doesn't seem to work, at least not any better than when they don't do it.

Then you'd better hope its an A10 officiating crew: MAC officials are likely to declare this intentional grounding and award 2 points and a free kick from the 20-yard line.

Hopefully they were stumbling out of The C.I. ?

Arkley tweeted that Parking Services towed the UMass broadcast crew's and Convo workers' cars.

I have two words for Parking Services.

Also, I hope their power goes out on Christmas Day, localized only to their homes.

Why did Wilkins get more minutes than Nick in the first half?  Very bizarre lineups in the first half by Christian.

Need some scorers to step up and stop penetration to the bucket. Need to find a spark in 2nd half.

An absolute clinic by UMASS tonight. Point guard play is really struggling for OHIO. Still looking for a signature win in the Christian Era.

I don't understand how that division has so much power. Medieval fiefdoms didn't wield this much control.

If this is true, we really do not understand how "3rd world" hilljack we look. Between the law ruining football tailgates and discouraging any alumni to make the trip and this weak "tow at will" mentality, we really look D2 bush league.

I'm embarrassed to be associated with these same people.

Back to the game....

UMass is very good. Gameplan cutting to the hoop (while we became spectators) was genius. We cannot shoot that poorly and expect to win. FT and FG % (when it mattered) was terrible.

We will rebound. At this point, I like where we are and the coach we have. We were not going to make the post season in December anyway. The system does not cater to teams like OHIO (be it football or basketball). We have to win our way to respect and did not do that tonight.

Richmond won't be any easier. I hope the match ups are more in our favor.

we tied them on 1 pointers and 2 pointers, they hit four more 3 pointers and there you have it.

On to Richmond...

I've heard similar complaints from other schools, not that it makes it any better.

Good point!  Sometimes the shots fall for the other team.  Damon Lilliard hits a prayer 3 pointer from well beyond the 3 point last night with .4 seconds left on the clock to beat the CAVS, who played them straight even until then.  It happens.
