I wonder how much ticket prices will go up to pay for these upgrades.
Don't worry, Alan. They're just going to raise the general student fee to really get your goat.
As long as the university continues to use the Convo for Graduation and Freshmen orientation I see no problem with this coming out of the general student fees. The Convo is not strictly an Athletics building.

I wouldn't worry about the gray trim. Looks like that was just for an example and whatever model they go with will be all green.

Come to think of it, the Gray/Silver football pants during the Cleve Bryant coaching era brings back some bad memories.

I wonder how many times you can shoehorn complaints into topics.
Down in the platinum section, the seats are in very good shape and do not need replaced. They are the very hard plastic ones plus during the high school tournaments, they are not used so they don't get that wear and tear. Pricing is a legitimate concern to many and I would contend for many seats in the Convo, with the "contribution" that is required, we are approaching the upper limit.
family packs and sliding down for everyone!

Thanks to the Bobcat Great Joe Dean family for getting to the bottom of that one.

My platinum seat has been screwed up for years - and no fix after requests

Do cup holders fall under the category of 'trim'?

We are going this route while Miami just put in all new red upholstered seats. Does that make sense?

I think the gray and green version is much classier looking and would be lighter overall. Solid dark green chairs will make the place look like a tomb.

Agreed. A little contrast in the chairs would be a good thing.

I don't know how to break this to you but the chairs in the Convo are already solid green.

And back at you: They are lighter green and have silver/gray metal frames, I believe.

Now that we brought taint into it we can now redefine the idea of a "cup holder". my preference would be long tall and red.

according to this picture taken in 2014 they are solid green and any difference in the shade of green is negligible.

He could be referring to the different shade of green as you go up.
Anyway, count me in as hoping for padding!
