Geez. Those are the chairs in the pull out section. I'm talking about the original chairs - the vast majority of the arena. This is silly.

whats silly is suggesting that the new chairs are vastly darker than the old ones, or that if there is any grey on the old ones its as prominent.

Next time you go to a game, look up. You'll notice the seats get lighter in the upper sections. Major color difference from the all-dark-green approach we're apparently going to take. I can understand that you're concerned about two-tone gray because of, what, some OSU connection? Then change your avatar.

Just returned from the Convo and had quite a bit of time to look at the seats. We have five different shades of seats - the plastic ones courtside, dark ones in the lower bowl, and three sets of progressively lighter shades of green as you move toward the roof. The metal frames on the top four sets as SBH correctly pointed out are a shade of gray similar to shade of gray paint on the floor of many school locker rooms.

so making the upper seats a shade darker is suddenly going to turn the Convo into a tomb? Drama.

OSU? huh? avatar? the concern about grey is in regards to all of the grey around the lower level as well as the the grey concrete around the top of the arena that makes it look like a.....wait for it..... wait for it.. ..a, you guessed it, a tomb. Maybe tombs are are dark green in your town, I don't know.

Actually three shades darker, but whatever. I see you can't admit you were wrong. Move on. I will.

Way back in my days at Muskingum we all had to take a class called The Arts our junior year. Toughest class I ever took. One of the things we learned had to do with weight and balance particularly in paintings. Generally your heavier or darker items in a landscape setting are in the front/bottom and the lighter in the back/top. If you look at the current Convo configuration, that's exactly what you have - dark seats down low gradually moving to lighter seats up high. My guess is the architect who designed the Convo went to Muskingum and learned this very important principle. Seriously, there is/was a reason for what we see today and I hope the powers that be consult experts before they make a 40 year bad decision.

I think all dark green would be sharp, but how about white cushions?

They'd get dirty and look really bad.
