I interrupt this excellent catfight between BeefsAndDane to predict:

Ohio 91, 'lbany 76. Not real close for the last 5-6 minutes.

You can be quite certain that my prediction is signifcantly uninformed, incorrect and loose, or if you prefer, lose.

My error...I confused him with SBU fan. He's actually a UB fan so it makes more sense why he'd post what he did. Different story there. He hates Albany because UB didn't get their wish (because of us) to be name a flagship campus of the SUNY system.

Carry on.
UB2020 would not have named any school a flagship you fantastic prat... Everything in 2020 eventually passed under SUNY2020, something we and the only other completely functional SUNY institution (Stony Brook) worked on together.

When SB saw what we were doing they copied and helped. When UA saw it they started throwing shaq around the legislature like a makak...
You are a liar but I don't think people in Ohio want to read two SUNY fans go at it. We've been through this countless times no need to rehash it again. One point of clarification, you know full well why Nano was stripped from us and it had NOTHING to do with UAlbany's capabilities to manage that program. In fact it was UAlbany that incubated and started one of the most successful nono research facilities in the world. It was dirty politics of NYS and the cozy relationship by Nano with the Governer and city of Buffalo plans that are now under federal investigation. In the meantime, UA has started and engineering school and moving towards a merger with Albany Law and remains one of the flagship institutions in NYS. Had UB gotten it's way, today there wouldn't be 4 flagship campuses of the SUNY system and with that disproportionate funding advantages for your school. That kills you...so while you spin your BS here, the reality is your school tried to deliberately disenfranchise two SUNY schools so that you can reap the financial and other support. To bad for you that the rest of the state legislature saw through your Machiavellian schemes, you actively pushed to be named one of two flagship campuses. Do I need to dredge up the press conference put on by Spitzer?

But you knew that...let me know when you want to revisit this again, preferably not here.

No please continue! I'm enjoying every last drop!!! Finally something that makes me smile in the morning!!! I'm just waiting for someone's mother to be pulled into the argument! Then we could be talking BobcatAttack Thread Hall of Fame!

Is it too crazy to say the winner of this game will win the CBI? BANG what a big time, outside-the-box prediction!

Seriously, so long as Ohio's head is in the game and the players actually want to play it, I think Ohio wins. And I hope you guys are right about a fairly decent crowd. I note the Ohio St.-Akron NIT game drew under 5,000 fans.

And that from an SMSA with over a million people AND the largest university in the state. We're way ahead on percentage of population attendance. Hoo Hah!

Probably because the Buckeyes aren't in the NCAA Tournament. It's football season now.

Plus it was election day, so everyone was tired from exercising their franchise.

USA has us as a 2pt favorite. I would have thought the spread to be closer to 6 as we are at home. I'm not saying that this spread makes me more concerned as spreads are not always accurate but as we get closer to game time I refer back to my earlier post which talks to our mental health as we approach this game.
We MUST move past the Buffalo loss if we are going to approach this game correctly.
This game will, in my opinion, tell us a lot about this teams maturity and mental toughness.

This is entertaining. Sorry I have not been around this week. Stumbled on it and made for good reading. It is interesting that the name calling "moron" and things like that jumped in here. Not something I am used to seeing on THIS board but hey....New Yorkers gonna be New Yorkers..... Ted, Jeff and Andrew deserve our thanks for keeping OUr board from degrading to this ....or worse.

NOtable that this was a first time I have run across this misuse of a word. SO significant that I had to comment on it... I am constantly beside myself biting my tongue and not commenting on commonly misused words ...Don't mind the to, too, two at the beginning of the sentence but after thousands of times we have seen teams "loose" a game or people who hate "loosing" it is the first time I have seen the opposite usage of the word. Many here would seem to favor Loose women over women who lose.

To bad for you, the criminal governor who was pushing your plan got thrown in the clink for kicking it with lose women.
If you have a LOOSE wallet, you are going to LOSE all of your money in Atlantic City.

After an evening of spending time helping my son understand and construct a CROT for an english assignment... I am done for a day. Bring on the Cats

Maybe he meant catch and release. In that case "loose his sole" would also be appropriate.

It was dirty politics of NYS and the cozy relationship by Nano with the Governer and city of Buffalo

The last Gov was not openly hostile to Buffalo, unlike the last several administrations. I'd not call it "cozy" more like leveling the playing field to what the Capitol region and the down state region had enjoyed through the 80's and 90's.

All UB was asking for, in a nutshell, was more autonomy within reason to set tuition and to lease it's facilities. We were not asking for state money but yea, go ahead and run with that.

Actually I just came in here to tell a conference mate to beat their foe. As I have done for Ohio teams several times. The fact it's Albany who's AE dominance has inflated their ego's was just an extra plus.

Drama Queen..

For the record, you guys are better when you get the hell out of the way and let Buffalo smash down walls for you. The Entire SUNY system would still be DIII had we not done the heavy lifting...

You're welcome..

If you want to discuss this further you know where to find me....

I understand the grammar policy is out in full force so for sake of clarity, I wanted to point out that English is not my first language. Lose vs. loose, too vs to for a non-native speaker (when typing quickly) can be a stumbling block.

I'll make sure to run my future posts through MSWord.

Cheers! :)
