Mitchell, Hadaway & I think Elmore James wasn't 100% and will look good next year. We really want to keep those 5 guys. We may be sort of lucky in that they are all good enough to be good players in the MAC but not good enough to play much for a big time program. I suspect that Boals would like to keep Ike Cornish and Ajay Sheldon, but with not a lot of scholarships available for portal use, he probably wouldn't pull his hair out. I doubt Wiznitzer is going anywhere. Last year we really needed an experienced big but I wonder if getting a player similar to Jaylin Hunter isn't a more realistic goal for next year.
I'd push back a little if the standard is "very high demand". Obviously a pretty vague standard though, so understand how reasonable people can disagree.
But ultimately EJ4 regressed a bit from a very promising freshman year. The injury contributed, certainly, but by the end of season he wasn't on the floor in the most meaningful game we played. Not sure there's a market for him to move up, though maybe he's in demand for something lateral? Hard to say.
Mitchell had a solid, but unspectacular year and is a 6th year senior. People like getting experience, so maybe I'd be surprised, but I doubt his phone's blowing up.
Hadaway has upside, so maybe he's pretty in demand. But I'm not sure what he showed this year is P5 talent. A nice player for us, with potential and raw athleticism. But the P5 doesn't seem to use the portal to take on projects.
