As the Ohio football team hits the midway point of Spring Practice, one player that's turning heads is safety Michael Hinton. The 6-3, 197-pound junior entered the Spring second on the depth chart to Tony Ward at free safety. Hinton sat out last season after transferring from Virginia Tech due to an off-the-field incident.

In high school, he played his senior season at Hargrave Military Academy and Cummings High School (Burlington, NC) before that. He was ranked the #14 player in the state of Virginia as a senior. Also a track athlete, Hinton set the state record in North Carolina in the 300 intermediate hurdles. Bobcat Attack.com's Rollie Merriman spent a few minutes with Michael as he and the Bobcats prepare for the April 22nd Green and White Game.
