In addition to the alumni, the Ohio offense enjoyed a Homecoming Saturday as it ran up 550 yards to lead the Bobcats to 55-27 win over Eastern Michigan.

Chad Brinker tied a school record with four rushing touchdowns as Ohio scored a TD on all of its first half possessions and rolled to a 41-13 halftime advantage, sending school officials to the archives to see whether or not the 41 points in one half is a school record in itself. Brinker's 127 yards on 17 carries paced an Ohio rushing attack that totalled 418 yards on the ground overall.

Other offensive stars for Ohio included sophomore back Stafford Owens, who had 222 yards of total offense, including a 72-yard punt return in which he eluded all captors for a touchdown. Junior quarterback Fred Ray, subbing for an injured Dontrell Jackson, completed 7 of 9 passes for 132 yards and two touchdows. Owens and tight end D.T. Boon were recipients of Ray's passing scores.

Ohio moved to 2-1 in the MAC with the win.
