Brecksville-Broadview Heights WR/S announced on his Instagram account that he will be a Bobcat. The 6-1, 185-pounder also had offers from Kent St. and Bowling Green. Tupa played on both sides of the ball last year earning Clevelend.com All-Star honors as a wide received with 71 catches, 1,131 yards and 19 touchdowns. ATHENS - Coach Frank Solich hoped to create competition in Ohio's annual spring Green and White game by putting into play a scoring system to pit the offense against the defense. He got it on Saturday with a game that came down to the final play.

The defense ran on to the field in celebration as it came away a 25-20 winner when Josiah Yazdani's 46-yard field goal clanked off the right upright.

Ohio adds Florida WR/CB Langston Provitt to 2015 class

Ohio has added Venice (FL) High School WR/CB Langston Provitt to its 2015 recruiting class. A 3-sport star at Venice, he rushed 72 times for 413 yards and scored a team-high 12 rushing touchdowns in the regular season. Provitt also caught a team-high 27 passes for 404 yards and two more scores. He returned kicks and punts, including a 98-yarder for a score, and made 35 tackles as a defensive back.

ATHENS - The Ohio football signing day class of 2015 finished Wednesday at 24 players, and one of the first to sign in the morning was the biggest surprise.

The Bobcats got a letter of intent from safety Deontai Williams (6-1, 185 pounds) from Jacksonville, Florida. He was expected to sign with Georgia after previously being committed to Florida.

El Camino Community College offensive lineman Joe Anderson visited Ohio over the weekend and decided to join the Bobcats. The 6-6, 330-pounder starts classes Tuesday. He'll have 4 years to complete 3 years of eligibility. Anderson played his high school football for Mira Costa High School in Torrance, CA.

The 5-10, 175-pounder had originally committed to Purdue and held offers from most every school in the MAC. Cincinnati Colerain linebacker Demetrius Colbert committed to Ohio after visiting this weekend. The 6-foot, 235-pounder had originally committed to Eastern Michigan. Rated 3 stars by ESPN.com and Scout.com, Colbert was the Greater Miami Conference defensive player of the year. He had 67 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks and four forced fumbles while being named first-team all-state and all-district.

The 6-2, 205-pounder had 58 catches and 81 tackles in helping lead the Knights to a Division II State Runner-up Title. Rated a 3-star recruit by Scout.com, Alders had originally committed to play baseball for Central Michigan.
