Ohio's grueling non-conference road show comes to end Saturday when it travels to US Bank Arena in Cincinnati to take on 20th-ranked Kentucky. The Bobcats (3-5) will have their hands full with another up-tempo offense. The Wildcats (8-3) like to get the ball up the floor averaging 80.9 points a game. Ohio battled ice-cold shooting and Navy but hung on for a 54-52 win Friday night at the Convocation Center. The Bobcats (2-4) won their home opener despite shooting 27% from the field, 19% from the 3-point line and 56% from the charity stripe. Brandon Hunter put up a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Also in double figures were Sonny Johnson with 13 and Steve Esterkamp with 11.

Poor shooting plagued Ohio as it was routed 78-57 at Boston University Friday night. The Bobcats (1-4) shot just 34% (18-for-53) from the field including a woeful 19% (3-for-16) behind the 3-point arc. Meanwhile, a BU (4-4) squad that came in shooting just under 38%, got healthy at the expense of the Ohio defense. Turnovers plagued Ohio as it dropped a 73-65 decision to DePaul Tuesday night in Chicago. The Bobcats committed 19 turnovers compared to just 7 for the Blue Demons.
