Ohio built a 17-point second-half lead and hung on to defeat Maryland 61-55 Wednesday night at College Park. Jerome Tillman scored 20 points to lead the Bobcats (6-2) to their fourth straight win. Leon Williams, playing aginst the team he watched growing up, recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Ohio next travels to Kansas Saturday for a 5 PM ESPN2 matchup with the 3rd-ranked Jayhawks.

Bubba Walther was 7-for-7 shooting, including 4-for-4 from 3-point range, as Ohio laid waste to the Delaware Blue Hens 78-59 Saturday in Athens. Walther with 22 points was just one of four Bobcats to reach double digits, along with Leon Williams (19), Jerome Tillman (17), and Justin Orr (10).

Ohio started the second half with an 18-2 run on the way to a 77-58 win over St. Bonaventure at the Convo Wednesday night. Justin Orr and Allen Hester had 13 points apiece to lead the hot-shooting Bobcats. Ohio (4-2) shot 60.8% from the floor and outrebounded the Bonnies 33-17. Michael Lee topped St. Bonaventure (4-5) with 17 points. The 'Cats will host Delaware in a 2 PM game on Saturday.

Ohio struggled to hit free throws in the game's final minute but was able to withstand host St. Francis College and post a 67-63 win. The Bobcats (3-2) were led by Leon Williams and Kenneth Van Kempen with 14 points. Ohio returns home to host St. Bonaventure Wednesday night.

A Kyle Cruze layup with 2.4 seconds left gave Holy Cross a 62-60 win over Ohio Monday night in Worcester. Justin Orr led the Bobcats with 18 points. Leon Williams recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Pat Doherty and Colin Cunningham had 12 points each to lead the Crusaders. Ohio was playing without the services of Jerome Tillman who sat out the game for precautionary reasons after experiencing heart palpitations.

Leon Williams' 28-point, 15-rebound performance led Ohio past Cornell 102-89 Saturday night at the Convo. Also having big scoring nights were Bubba Walther and Jerome Tillman with 25 and 21 points respectively. Justin Orr and Michael Allen each had 11 points to round out the double-figure scoring. Allen, making his Bobcat debut, also handed out nine assists.

Ohio announced the signing Wednesday of Eau Gallie High School (Melbourne, FL) guard Steven Coleman to a National Letter of Intent. The 6-4, 200-pounder averaged 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals as a junior. The Bobcats will graduate Leon Williams and Bubba Walther after this season. Coleman will use one scholarship while Iona transfer Mike Harris may get the other.

Senior center Leon Williams is looking to finish his Bobcat career the way he started it, with an NCAA Tournament appearance. The 6-8, 245-pounder is coming off a junior campaign where he averaged 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds. Williams, a former MAC Freshman of the Year, was named to the preseason All-MAC team. Ohio opened its season with an 80-72 win over New Mexico St. Friday night at the Convocation Center. Jerome Tillman led the Bobcats with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Leon Williams was limited to just 17 minutes due to foul trouble but the rest of the Ohio starters finished in double figures. In their Bobcat debuts, Justin Orr and Bert Whittington IV scored 17 and 14 points respectively. Bubba Walther added 13.
