Ohio Hoops gets verbal from Cincinnati Walnut Hills wing D.J. Wingfield

According to various internet reports, Ohio Basketball has received a verbal commitment from Cincinnati Walnut Hills High School small forward/shooting guard D.J. Wingfield. He chose Ohio over offers from St. Bonaventure, Akron, Kent St., Ball St., BG and others. The 6-5 Wingfield played at Lockland High School last year where he averaged 17.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists. At Walnut Hills, Wingfield will team with Akron commit Isaiah Johnson. The son of former UC star and NBA player Dontonio Wingfield, he joins Cincinnati Taft power forward Antonio Campbell as the second commitment to Jim Christian's 2013 recruiting class.
