Ohio has been selected to play in the College Insider.com Postseason Tournament, traveling to Marshall for a first round game at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

It is the Bobcats’ first ever selection to the CIT, and it gives them a chance to avenge a regular season loss to the Thundering Herd. Marshall defeated Ohio, 65-57, on Dec. 4.

The CIT features 12 first-round games at campus sites, with one game set for Monday, seven for Tuesday and four for Wednesday.

The 12 winning teams will be seeded and bracketed, with four teams earning byes into the quarterfinals. All games are at campus sites.

Two other MAC teams, Buffalo (18-13) and Western Michigan (20-12) also are part of the tournament.

Old Dominion defeated Butler in the inaugural CIT championship game two years ago, while Missouri State topped Pacific last year.

All games will be broadcast online through Fox College Sports Broadband, with the championship game March 30 being broadcast on Fox College Sports.

Second round games are Friday and Saturday, with quarterfinal games slated March 21-22 and the semifinals set for March 25.
