Bobcats shoot 62 percent in win at Wright State
Cooper leads the way with 20 points, 9 boards, 5 assists

FAIRBORN, Ohio – Ohio shot 61.7 percent and rolled to an 82-54 victory against Wright State at the Nutter Center on Saturday.
D.J. Cooper scored 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists, while Ivo Baltic scored 15 points in just 19 minutes. Reggie Keely had 11 points off the bench.
The Bobcats (9-1) led 42-22 at halftime and opened the second half with an 11-1 run to further pull away from the Raiders (4-8).
Cole Darling had 11 points and seven rebounds to lead Wright State, which shot just 38.0 percent.
Ohio’s lead was just 6-5 early but it scored six straight points. With a 14-8 advantage, the Bobcats scored six in a row again to push their lead to 12.
Richardo Johnson’s free throw with 7:28 left in the first half put the Bobcats’ lead in double digits for good, and after Darlington scored a jumper that made the score 24-13, Ohio ran off 10 points in a row to go up 34-13.
Nick Kellogg hit three 3-pointers to finish with nine points for the Bobcats. T.J. Hall hit a pair of triples and had eight points.
Armond Battle and Reggie Arceneaux scored eight points apiece for the Raiders.
Wright State was outrebounded, 32-25, and had more turnovers, 23-21. The Raiders made just 13 of 25 free throw tries.
Ohio scored 30 points off turnovers to 19 for Wright State and held a 30-22 edge in points in the paint.
The last time the Bobcats started a season 9-1 was 1969-70. They have not had a better start since the 1940-41 season when they won their first 11 games.
The Bobcats take on a team off to an equally hot start when they travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa to face Northern Iowa (9-1) at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the McLeod Center.
