Ohio Seniors Close Convo Careers with Win Over Miami

Whitney Davis had 15 points to lead Ohio to a 52-45 win over Miami of Ohio on Thursday night.

Jerome Tillman added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Bobcats (18-11, 9-6 Mid-American Conference), who trailed by 10 points early in the second half before going on a 15-3 run to take a 41-39 lead with 9:25 left.

Miami (15-13, 10-5) led 29-23 at the half, but a jumper from Nathan Peavy with 15:58 remaining was the team's last field goal. The RedHawks scored nine points on free throws during the rest of the game.

Peavy led Miami with 13 points, and Tim Pollitz had 11 points and 10 rebounds. The RedHawks shot 37.5 percent (15-of-40), while Ohio shot 42.6 percent (20-of-47).

Ohio scored 20 points off 15 Miami turnovers and outrebounded the RedHawks 31-26. All eight players for the Bobcats scored.

The Bobcats will close out the regular season at Buffalo at 6:00 on Sunday evening.
