Mychal Green tied a career-high with 25 points to lead Ohio to an 82-53 win in the first round of the MAC Tournament at the Convocation Center Monday night. The Bobcats (18-10) will face Miami in a quarterfinal matchup 9:00 Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. Ohio put the Chippewas (4-24) away early as it bolted out to a 28-7 lead. Green (19 points) and fellow senior Jeff Halbert (14) combined to outscore CMU in the first half as Ohio enjoyed a 50-32 halftime edge. Central would get no closer in the second half. Halbert finished with 16 points while Giordan Watson led Central with 20.
