Ohio opened Mid-American Conference play with an 87-55 win over Western Michigan Wednesday night at the Convocation Center. It was a game the Bobcats put away early as they opened up a 21-7 lead midway through the first half on the way to a 43-21 halftime edge. For the game, Ohio shot a sizzling 59% from the floor and outrebounded Western 38-31. Whitney Davis had 16 points off the bench to lead the Bobcats (7-2, 1-0 MAC). Leon Williams recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Joe Reitz had 15 points to pace the Broncos (3-8, 0-1).
