Ohio turned in one of the best defensive halves in college basketball history as it beat Central Michigan 76-44 Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center. The Bobcats allowed just seven points in the first half as they opened a 35-7 halftime lead. The seven points allowed were the lowest in NCAA Division-1 since 1973 when Tennessee held Temple to six points in a half.
Whitney Davis came off the bench to lead Ohio (10-2, 4-0 MAC) with a career-high 17 points. Sefton Barrett and Giordan Watson had 12 points each for CMU (2-11, 0-5).
