Ohio hit 12 3-pointers on the way to an easy 81-50 win over American University Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center. Sonny Troutman was 4-for-5 on his trey attempts as he finished with a game-high 18 points. Also in double figures for the Bobcats (2-0) were Jeremy Fears with 12 points as Jeff Halbert and Mychal Green finished with 11 each. American (0-5) was led in scoring by Brayden Billbe and Andre Ingram who had 10 points apiece. Ohio now embarks on a 3-game road trip to face Marist (Dec. 6th), Rhode Island (Dec. 10th) and Cincinnati (Dec. 14th).
