Mychal Green's game-high 23 points helped lead Ohio to a 71-63 win at Rhode Island Saturday night. Leon Williams recorded his first double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds.

As the Bobcats (4-0) struggled to make a shot early, the Rams (5-2) built a 17-9 lead with 8:42 left in the first half. Ohio would close the half with a 24-7 run to take a 9-point lead to intermission.

In the second half, URI whittled the deficit to one point a couple of times. The last was with 10:29 remaining when a Will Daniels three cut the Ohio lead to 46-45. But Whitney Davis would answer with a trey and the 'Cats wouldn't let the Rams closer than three the rest of the way.

Ohio was outrebounded in the game by a 39-29 margin. However, the opportunistic Bobcats led in the points off turnover margin 21-8. Rhody, like Ohio, had four players in double figures. Jamaal Wise led the way with 12 points. Jeremy Fears and Whitney Davis added 16 and 12 points respectively for the Bobcats. Ohio completes its 3-game road trip Wednesday night at Cincinnati.
