Bobcats smash Flashes 80-54

Ohio used a 17-0 run coming out of halftime to take an 80-54 win over Kent St. Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center. Mychal Green led the Bobcats (7-6 Overall, 2-3 MAC) with 23 points. For the Golden Flashes (10-6, 3-3), Scott Cutley was the only double figure scorer with 11. The win keeps the 'Cats a perfect 6-0 at home.
Ohio pumped up a Father's Day Crowd of 7,942 by jumping off to an 8-0 start. The lead would grow to 38-21 before Kent St. closed the half with a 7-0 run. Terren Harbut's 3-point play capped the Bobcats second-half outburst and gave them a 55-28 lead with 13:45 to play. That would prove to be Ohio's largest lead and Kent St. would get no closer than 20 points the rest of the way.
Harbut had 16 points and Jeremy Fears 15 to help the Bobcat attack. Leon Williams pulled down 13 boards as Ohio outrebounded Kent St. by a 41-29 margin. The Bobcats shot a sparkling 55% from the floor while holding the Flashes to 33% shooting. Ohio will try for its first road win of the season Wednesday night at Central Michigan.
