Boston College forward Johnnie Jackson has decided to transfer and play basketball for Ohio University. The 6-6, 200-pounder will play for former BC assistant and now Bobcat head coach Tim O'Shea. Jackson signed with BC after being named All-State at Memphis Fairley High School where he averaged 21.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in both his junior and senior seasons. But his playing time was limited at Boston College, appearing in just 12 games as a freshman and 7 as a sophomore.

In accordance with NCAA rules, Jackson will sit out the 2004-05 season and then have two years of eligibility remaining. With his commitment, Ohio is at the limit of 13 scholarship players.
