The Boston Celtics announced today the signing of their second-round draft pick Brandon Hunter. Although the team did not disclose terms of the contract, it is reportedly a two-year deal paying $500,000 annually.

After the Celtics made Hunter the 56th player selected overall in the NBA Draft, the former Ohio standout went to the Reebok NBA Summer League with something to prove. And prove he did. Hunter was named to that league's First Team after averaging 16.3 points and 8.2 boards in six games last week. According to a Boston Herald article, one NBA scout said that Hunter was the "talk of the league" after his showing in Boston.
