The Ohio basketball team gets a head start on conference play as it hosts Toledo Sunday afternoon at the Convocation Center. The Bobcats (1-2) have been off since winning an exhibition game last Sunday. It's been two weeks since the Cats started the season at the Dell BCA Classic where they dropped two of three. Jaivon Harris and Jeff Halbert lead OU in scoring averaging 14.0 and 11.7 points respectively. Ohio has struggled shooting the ball hitting less than 35% of its field goal attempts so far this season.
Toledo (2-0) has been led by their backcourt trio of senior Keith Triplett (19.0 ppg), sophomore Sammy Villegas (13.5 ppg) and freshman Justin Ingram (10.0 ppg). Freshman forward Florentino Valencia (9.5) is pacing the Rockets' inside attack followed by redshirt freshman center Allen Pinson (5.5 ppg) and senior center A.J. Shellabarger (5.0 ppg).
