AKRON – Ben Vander Plas and Ben Roderick hit key shots, and Ohio held off Akron 69-63 on Tuesday night at James A. Rhodes Arena for coach Jeff Boal’s 100th career win.

ATHENS – Mark Sears scored a career-high 33 points as Ohio finished strong to put away USC Upstate 85-70 in the nonconference finale Tuesday afternoon at The Convo.

Jason Carter and Ben Vander Plas scored 12 points each, and Ben Roderick finished with 11 points for the Bobcats (9-2).

BATON ROUGE, La. – Ohio missed its first 11 shots, rallied to tie the game early in the second half and then went cold again, losing 66-51 to undefeated LSU on Wednesday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

ATHENS – After a slow start, Ohio exploded past Concordia 88-68 on Friday afternoon at The Convo.

The Bobcats trailed by seven at halftime but put up 58 points after the break against their NAIA opponent from Michigan.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 13 Kentucky pounded Ohio on the boards and pulled away late for a 77-59 victory on Friday night at Rupp Arena.

The Wildcats (3-1) outrebounded the Bobcats (3-1) by a 53-17 margin, including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds that allowed them to overcome 15 turnovers.
