ATHENS – Toledo shot 59% and withstood a second half run from Ohio to hand the Bobcats their first Mid-American Conference loss 87-69, also snapping their nine-game winning streak Friday night before a crowd of more than 8,000 at The Convo.

Ryan Rollins scored 26 points with six rebounds and five steals for the Rockets (15-4, 7-1 MAC).

OXFORD – Ben Vander Plas scored 23 points as Ohio dominated rival Miami 86-63 in the Battle of the Bricks Tuesday night at Millett Hall.

Vander Plas had 20 points by halftime and added six rebounds, four steals and three assists steals on the night. Mark Sears scored 17 points with nine assists, four rebounds and three steals in the ninth straight win for the Bobcats (14-2, 5-0 Mid-American Conference).

ATHENS – Jason Carter and Tommy Schmock both had season highs in points as Ohio held off Bowling Green 85-78 on Tuesday night at The Convo for its eighth straight win.

ATHENS – Mark Sears scored a career-high 33 points as Ohio finished strong to put away USC Upstate 85-70 in the nonconference finale Tuesday afternoon at The Convo.
