And if you go to ohiobobcats.com, there is no "master volleyball page." In fact, the four lead stories are three about football that doesn't play this week and one about a volleyball press conference. Disgraceful, embarrassing and bs.

There is a volleyball page just like there is a page for every other sport. Are you sure your browser just isn't showing the drop down menu correctly? It's in alphabetical order for Men's Sports on the left and Women's sports on the right, hence Volleyball is listed last on the right of the drop down menu when hovering over the Sports tab. Volleyball also featured on the video for Bobcat weekly.

2 of the last 5 stories that just fell off the front page were about Volleyball. I bet you'll see something in the next day or so previewing the weekend matches. Perfect regular season deserves serious even more pub for sure, but calling the coverage embarrassing, disgraceful, and BS is laughable.

I think he is saying there should be one of those advertisement pages they show all the time for basketball and football, where you have to click to continue to the homepage or can click to buy tickets.

Thank you UpSan. That is exactly what I'm saying as opposed to that condescending post by the guy from "suburban" Akron.

It wasn't meant to be condescending. "Master volleyball page" doesn't really match my idea of what UpSan described. I do know what he means and agree its warranted. I was actually trying to help a guy out. Solid reference about being a suburbanite though because that's important. I'm from SE Ohio. I currently live near Akron. Big difference.

In the immortal words of Jason Robards, playing Ben Bradlee in “All the President’s Men” - RUN THAT BABY!

It’s show time in the Convo this weekend when OHIO can provide a storybook finish to a great season by running the table in the MAC.

Friday it’s BG (7-19, 4-10), a team Ohio swept earlier in the season, although two sets were competitive. Then on Saturday (assuming Ohio wins Friday), it couldn’t get any better as the rival Deadhawks of Miami (18-8,11-3) invade our space and will be sitting on a 10 game win streak of their own if they win at Kent on Friday. They took Ohio to the wire last time out, losing in 5.

Let’s rock the house! These ladies deserve it.

Plus, go uptown after the basketball game, have some dinner/whatever, and then get back down to the Convo for the v-ball game. It would be nice to top 3k for attendance at least.

Just went to the ohiobobcats.com master/landing page and guess what, it's set for Saturday's basketball game. How can we expect folks to come when the ad doesn't event promote the best program at OU for the last 10 years.

I'm a volleyball DAD, but you and I and the world knows "It's all about the bucks." Sorry to say, v-ball will always be a step child to b-ball and f-ball. It still is a helluva lot of fun to watch when the product on the court is as good as Ohio's. Good luck to #1 daughter and the rest of the Lady Bobcats this weekend.

Sorry, but OHIO VOLLEYBALL should absolutely be on the home page of ohiobocats.com now. It is unfathomable and an insult that they are not.

They Saturday game against redhawk should be fantastic.

Nothing gets your point across quite as effectively as CAPS LOCK.

I'll be there for both games, as always. How could I miss the Miami game with their screamer at the net (I assume she's still there)? That scared me the first time I heard it last season.

Big, big, weekend for Ohio Volleyball. Undefeated MAC season on the line, I'm hoping everyone will get to the Convo and support Ohio Volleyball. 13 straight 20 plus win seasons, 12 MAC East titles in a row, what's not to like! Friday night vs Bowling Green features free admission for those who bring a can of food for the food drive and it is also Youth Night-free admission for those under 18 years. Saturday night we take on the team from Oxford and can clinch a MAC title. Saturday night is also Senior Night-what a great group they have been, they deserve a great crowd for their special night.

Agreed. Right or wrong, you're not going to have volleyball be the headline when basketball plays Saturday and football on Tuesday. The AD has limited resources and can't be all things to all people. Promoting volleyball more would be at the expense of those two sports, which is a trade-off I doubt they're willing to make.

Just so you all know: Yesterday I sent an e-mail to Josh Boyer, assistant band director for the 110, suggesting it would be great if the 110 could augment the alumni band this weekend or next. He sent a very rapid reply, stating he would love to, but.....
1. Tonight (Sat.) the 110 has their Varsity Show.
2. Next Monday is their Ohio Theater show.
3. "Even if we wanted to play for the team on Sunday, e MAC has a strict 30-person limit for bands in tournaments."

So I guess that takes care of that. Oh well.

How much cost/resources would it take to 1) split the homepage of ohiobobcats.com, giving half to our best sport Volleyball 2) email blast about tonight's huge game (at home Convo, going for 16-0 conf, vs. rival redhawk, which is hot and 2nd best team in MAC) 3) have a sign board outside The Convo saying 'Vball tonight 15-0 'Cats hope to close season undefeated vs. rival Miami at 7pm' and 4) have posters/billboards with same info at Convo entrances for today's basketballgame vs. Appy State, and 5) announce about tonight's vball game every chance at today's Appy State basketball game?!
