Ohio was picked 7th in the MAC in the preseason poll. Will be interesting to see how things go with the interim tag in play. I gather we lost our scrimmage to Marshall but no official results were posted. We start with hosting 3 this weekend (Bucknell, Iowa State, Eastern Ill).

Each side took two sets; they did not play a fifth. Cats looked good at times and a little sloppy in the loses. Freshmen and transfers will play a lot.

Well I admit I don't know the details of the 2025 Eastern Illinois Volleyball squad, but I was born in Charleston, IL and my Mother is an EIU alum. Also they were 9-19 last year. The fact that they beat us 3-0 seems very troubling to me.

Also 3-0 loss to Iowa St and salvaged a 3-1 vs Bucknell.

Could be a rough season.

Got rolled this weekend by OSU/Pitt/Wright St. Only 1 of 9 sets was remotely close. Previous weekend was more competitive, beating Chattanooga but losing to Cincy & Jax St. Sitting 2-7 with one more invitational (Charlotte) before MAC play.

Swept away in Charlotte including losses to Furman & Maryland East Shore.

On to MAC play. I don't think it is going to go well.

I watched the third game Saturday night and was impressed and a bit surprised with the tenaciousness of the ladies. They were focused and determined to win.

Hot damn, the turnaround is real. Very exciting and definitely starting to think we can drop that interim tag for Brinkman if she can manage to get this level of turnaround in-season.

Sorry but a road win over Ball St. is a reason to get excited. On the road. And you almost swept them. Seemingly, a dramatic turnaround. But with matches left to play to be fair.

I think the comment was in regards to your phrasing, not your level of excitement

Haha, yes. Probably a typo or autocorrect producing "Let us go!" Hence the Moses reference, who made this command to Pharaoh 10 times.

The weekend results at Ball State is definitely reason for celebration. Especially considering it wasn't like they got some lucky bounces and somehow managed to scrape 3 sets and get a victory. They absolutely throttled them at times.

Thought I was quoting Tom Brady. My bad.

Last home games are coming up this Thursday and Friday (senior night). Great opportunity to see them in action AND have a night in Athens.

The resilience of this team....

Went down 2-0 at NIU yesterday, getting smoked 25-15 and 25-12. Come back to force a 5th and win 18-16. NIU had match point at 16-15. Phew.

From 0-4 to 11-5.

Last series vs WMU, playing for the 2 seed and 1st round bye (WMU at 12-4 and Ohio at 11-5).
