Ohio hosts Western Thursday and Friday. Ohio must win both to clinch 2-seed in MAC Tournament.

On the one hand it would be nice if the team can come back and beat WMU tonight to show themselves they can. On the other hand if they lose and the two meet in the MAC tournament WMU will be left with the task of trying to beat the Ohio three times in a row in one season. That is never easy.

Bobcats beat WMU. Have now beat 1-seed Ball State and 2-seed WMU this season.

After that disastrous start, I have to admit, I haven't been following this much this year plus I have three granddaughters playing volleyball this fall.

As a former high school coach, I'm very curious as to what happened to do a complete 180. I can't say I've ever seen this complete change of direction from a volleyball team at any level.

For those of you who have been attendance or watching, what happened?

The team previously lost some close 5 setters. But all along there were flashes of a very good team. For example, against Iowa State which is now 20-5 with some big wins along the way, the team lost the second set 23-25. The team chemistry appears to be very healthy. Lastly credit the coach Kenzie Brinkman. If you look at her resume she has been associated with a lot of winners. I hope they are trying make her the permanent coach.

Why is 6th seed Bowling Green hosting the tournament? And wouldn't you know it, that is who we have in the 1st round Friday night. How is this fair?

If we win, we have WMU on Saturday. Then the Championship Sunday.

Ladies lost 3-1 at Bowling Green in September, before they turned into total bad asses. Was the very first MAC match of the season.

Several years ago it was determined that the tournament needed to be scheduled in advance to avoid conflicts with basketball season -- so it was decided that the regular-season champ would host the tournament the following year. BG won the regular season in 2024...

As far as playing BG, that's the #3-#6 matchup...

I could understand the logic if it was a 12 team tourney, but it's only 6. It's literally 5 matches over 3 days. Any conflicts could be easily shuffled around. Seems pretty ridiculous.

The scenario we face is the absolute peak of unfairness...with the defending champ and host just barely getting in as the bottom seed and then gets a home game.
