Thing is, he didn't react "quickly".

He made his decision at the last minute,when it was too late for his fans,most of whom would agree with him on the N.C. Law, to change their plans.

What was interesting was when he did this, a lot of his fans, who were 100%against the law, also blasted him, not for canceling the show, but his timing.
