Read somewhere that UT in conference is 3-0 at home, winning by an average around 16 pts; 0-3 on the road, losing by a similar average. Glad we have them at home this year.

Edit: hope I didn't just jinx the Cats.

They haven't yet played a team with a winning conf record, and lost by 24 at Kent last Saturday. Not saying this will be an easy win but they've been mediocre against less-than-mediocre opponents.

I saw them in person defeat a pretty good Wright St team on the road. Also, they went into overtime but lost to Marshall in Huntington. From game to game you don't know which Toledo team will show up.

Steve Taylor is an absolute load inside. Another big challenge for our 4s and 5s.

I expect a tough game.

Their defensive metrics are pretty bad but the couple of times I saw them in December their guards looked pretty good on the ball. Their bigs didn't look very good with positioning and helping on screens though and I think good ball movement might get us some easy buckets.

Ohio recruited Stevie Taylor before he signed with Marquette. I was hoping to get him to Athens so we could have Stevie Taylor throwing alley-oops for Stevie Taylor to throw down.

That was also around the time we had Ryan Taylor on the team and Doug on board, I seem recall dreaming of an all-Taylor lineup.

Is Taylor as good as Maric? I know we didn't "handle" Maric but Maric certainly had trouble with Carter inside and Doug was solid bodying up on him.

Taylor is gonna play more like Isaiah Johnson than Maric.

Maric has better post moves and ball skills and is a better shooter, while Taylor is more physical and is a physical speciman. Not sure who is better defensively.

Toledo's 3 road losses-

-16pts @WMU(2-4)
-8pts @CMU(2-4)
-24pts @KSU(2-4)
-48pts Total
-16pts Avg

I like our chances.

Toledo shoots well, gets to the line a lot, and is a good rebounding team. But they aren't good defensively much of the time, don't force a lot of turnovers, etc.

Steve Taylor shoots 49% from the line.

So is this game not available on espn3? It says subject to blackout but there is no blackout map and all it says is "Game is not available on the ESPN networks."

Extremely annoying...why is it like this? Where is anorris when you need him? I just don't get it. I couldn't make the game tonight and was looking forward to tuning in.

If this is how it's gonna be, I'd rather go back to the B-rate webcasts from our own feed with Russ & Rob audio.

Brutal.....brutal....brutal. Defense was awful and Doug Taylor was owned in the paint. But at least he'll be a double-double guy his senior year (according to many here). Live by the 3...die by the 3. Too many possessions in final 3 minutes of forcing a 3 when we didn't have too until the very end. That strategy will not change for this team. Started game one and will continue into the MAC Tournament.

Tough loss. But this team is trying to learn how to play without Tone. I actually come away from this game with some hope for this season and a lot for next based off of the play of Carter. Really like the idea of Carter and Taylor on the floor at the same time. Too bad we don't have an option to sit them both at the same time right now if needed.

Guess I'm the only one not seeing it with DT. Wasn't very good at all tonight. He's never going to be a threat offensively, so he better play defense. Didn't happen at all against the much better Taylor tonight.

We lost at home to a team that had been 0-3 in the MAC on the road losing by 16, 8 & 34.

This is what we are the rest of the year...as Arkley tweeted...can win any game, but can also lose any game.

No excuse to blow a 10 point 2H lead ever.

Zero excuse to let up a 16-2 run in three minutes.

That's over 5 points per minute...by Toledo alone!

Just bad basketball.

Happened at WKU as well when they blew 21-4 lead.

Just wildly inconsistent....but that's what happens when you live and die by 3ptr. Business is boomin' when shots fall...when they don't, time to file for bankruptcy

1:30 left, we give up TWO offensive rebounds and they get points to extend lead. Tough sequence.
