Well, it looks like we were right about a record turnout, but haven't yet seen anything about how it broke out amongst young voters.

Either way, more people voting is a good thing. Hopefully all the votes get counted.

The Trump campaign is now suing to stop the count in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Courts won't listen, but it's still such a dangerous precedent. There's nothing to indicate any fraud, and a candidate is trying to stop votes from being counted.

Meanwhile, there are pro-Trump protestors trying to get into the vote counting location chanting "stop the count" and "let us in." That's despite the fact that there are over 100 Trump appointed observers inside already.

Sad times for democracy. Counting votes shouldn't be partisan.

And to think, businesses felt it necessary to board of windows. What kind of "democracy" have we become the last four years? It all hinges on of all places, Las Vegas.

Nevada will be official this afternoon. Not sure Nevada is going to work out like many here want it too.

Thus far the betting markets have outperformed pollsters and modelers pretty substantially. Predictit still has Biden at 84% in Nevada, Arizona at 75%, Georgia at 69% and Pennsylvania at 83%.

Now up to 92% in NV, 80% in AZ, 73% in GA, and 86% in PA.

Also sounds like the reality's set in for the Trumps. Don Jr. has now resorted to retweeting calls to have the electoral college ignore the will of the people and seat President Trump even if he loses the election.

Sad times in America right now.

We'll be lucky to get out of this without violence. If Trump has any actual evidence of the widespread voter fraud he insists is occurring -- and insisted occured in 2016, too -- he needs to present it. The lawsuits he's filed this far include no actual evidence or specifics. This is pure politics, but it's politics that puts people's faith in our democracy at risk. Once that faith is gone, there isn't a ton left.

Biden now officially up in Georgia and Pennsylvania. If those hold, that's all she wrote for Trump.

Trump will file lawsuits, but they'll be as toothless as they've been to date, and won't go anywhere. The whole goal's just to rile up his base -- which is prone to believing in conspiracy theories as is -- and try and convince them the election was stolen to keep them angry and aggrieved for 2024. He'll then probably head over to OAN and get richer off of people's anger.

Scary that he's trying to take down Democracy for his own gain, but heartening to see the system hold against threats from a wannabe autocrat. The real risk will come when somebody who is actually competent applies the Trump playbook.

Do not get too excited about Georgia yet. Military absentee ballots have until tonight to be received. There are 8,890 outstanding. At the % of the military vote that goes for Trump, the state swings back to red.

He has no proof, he's never had any proof, simply because such fraud does not exist. If this fraud existed, then the Presidential commission would have found those 3 million cases of fraud in 2016

And what Trump says and tweets matters - or else the FAA wouldn't have to announce that airspace is now restricted over Biden’s home. Or, as Alan posted up above, businesses wouldn't be boarding up their buildings this week. I found it a bit disturbing and uneasy last Saturday while driving on the outerbelt around Columbus (not unlike what the Biden campaign bus encountered in Texas) and can't imagine what it might be like this weekend.

This is misleading. There are 8,890 outstanding that were not sent out, but, as you said, they have to be received today. Based off traditional returns, many of those still outstanding will not be returned. Note that these were not all the military absentee ballots sent out, these are just the ones that have not arrived back at this point. Those are likely not to arrive at all, at least the majority of them. Biden, through the votes remaining in Gwinnett County et.al., will likely increase the lead he holds by approximately 1500-2000 votes. The outstanding military absentee ballots likely won't factor in. The final result until the re-count, should end somewhere with Biden up by about 3,500-4,500 votes.

Yeah, still very uncertain in GA. But also now looking like AZ is in the bag now that Maricopa returns came back subpar for Trump. Tough path for Trump there.

Between PA, NV, and AZ more than enough. GA would just be a nice benefit, and ironically would lead to the same electoral margin that Trump referred to as a landslide last time around.

And poetic justice that the Congressional District that put Biden up in Georgia was the district of John Lewis!

It's time to call the race. The delay just convinces conspiracy minded folks Trump's not lying.

If Trump has any evidence of the fraud he's been claiming for 4 years -- and already deployed a commission to investigate between 2016 and 2018 -- he can present it.

But he's lost the election, and it's time to call it.

Trump has to take either Nevada or AZ to win. He can take PA, GA and NC and the three states are still not enough.

Biden can get the knockout punch with PA, win the western states or win Georgia and a western state.

Military vote is not in the bag for Trump. He has not exactly been a hawk trying to pull the US out of the middle east and soft on Russia and North Korea. He's ticked off military advisors badly. It makes those sporting rambo style Trump military flags look particularly silly.

I don't call 4 days of letting the votes count out hardly a delay. Biden came out of election night with WI, MI, PA looking promising and GA a shot in the dark. PA he was down 690,000 votes, definitely a wide enough margin to create uncertainty.

Where it is right now with Biden up and trending in PA, GA, NV, AZ the big thing to look at is where the margins are. If he wins a state by less than 2,500 there are firm grounds for a recount in that state. Up 10,000 votes and you have what I would consider a "sizable" margin.

In PA Biden has sailed well beyond that number with 28k votes and it looks likely that margin will be north of 50,000. Even in Georgia a place where Biden campaign thought was a coin flip going into Thursday is now up for Biden over 7,500. Georgia was not even discussed to be in play on election night.

Election is in the bag (a legal bag) for Biden. I wasn't sure until about 12pm on election night after the direction of WI and MI were becoming more clear. Hillary didn't scratch it out a victory last time and it would be tough for Trump to do it twice.

Then you look at the people flying them on top of their gas guzzlers and its preppies in turtlenecks who never served the country for a day.

What Trump was all about is bending the letter of the law, if not breaking the law for red meat political optics. Alt right advisors who want to pull back from global leadership and create a closed society.

Had all states allowed absentee and mail-in votes to be counted as they came in this race would have been called around 1:00 am on election night.
