Last week of recruiting tends to be an exciting.... for nothing else it's the anticipation of signing the verbals and landing one or two surprises or hidden gems. This weekend means the last recruiting weekend on campus and it would be nice to get a few commits to finish off this class.

I'd like to see Roberts of Cleveland Benedictine commit per his weekend visit....he's a monster at 6'6"-240 when he's split out on the edge or headin down the middle as a TE.  If we have a few more spots I'd also like to see a DB and/or a DT.

Contrary to some Danny Doomers..... me thinks this will be a decent class.

I want Roberts bad!  He has the frame to be a dominant Tight End and have a lot of potential for the next level.  You get him working with Coach Dixon and he could be something special!  With that said, I am wondering if there is a question on qualifying.  Maybe our staff has just done a great job recruiting him, but with his list of offers, I can't help but wonder.

I feel pretty good about our Defensive Line next year with our 7 players from last year's class moving in for more playing time.  I think our greatest need is at CB/DB.  We will have a lot of seniors there next year and I think it is a major need.

I agree that DB is a need. On the other hand, if you look at the large number of WR in the recruit list, some of those may have been recruited as a DB. We probably won't know that until signing day, however.

OK.....I'll play.

We need safeties.....this guy is a safety.......he's from Cleveland Glenville who has a ton of 4 star players........his original verbal was a soft one (hate when that happens).....so I'm guessing safety Devan Bogard from Cleveland Glenville.

Anybody else want to play?

No mention of OSU, but a look at scoutingohio.com shows that Ohio is one of several offers for Glenville's Sean Draper (CB) and Willie Henry (DT), who are uncommitted.

Roger Lewis WR and Sebastian Smith DB are looking at the Bobcats...both  would shoot the 2012 class ranking up just a bit.

National Signing Day: The 50 Best Campuses in College Football

Good recruiting pub for A-Town...The fact that Oxford comes in higher is a joke (rivalry aside it's nice but it's not Athens)...I guess when you realize Notre Dame supposedly ranks ahead of Stanford though, you take it with a grain of salt.

Still might land a Glenville player......just not Bogard....haha.

Lewis is a 4 star recruit but OSU has 5 WR verbals already in this class.

Smith not a 4 star but both would be decommitts  since Smith has verbaled to Indiana......plays safety and CB at 6'3"-180.

If both sign it would probably move us more than a bit.

Kind of surprised Lewis decommitting hasn't made news. These guys can't sneeze without it making the paper.

Especially since it took him all of 1 week to accept once offered by O$U and that was BEFORE Meyer...

It might be a good time to try to get a Rutgers commit in for a visit, if we have any spots open, that is.

On a related note...Even the most cursory review of that board, renews my deep appreciation for OUrs!

According to Bill Green of Scout.com, Roger Lewis will be a Bobcat.

Ohio State's "renown" insider, Nevadabuck posted:

HUGE get for Ohio...

Roger Lewis is a big time player....

To fan the flames, via twitter, Lewis seems to be friends with Caris Lavert, hoops signee, and recently tweeted @Troyywr who I think is a member of this board and has some connection to the Leftwich brothers.

Would be a nice get here and hopefully open a pipeline for more Pickerington kids, a lot of big time talent going through those schools.

His Twitter 6 hours ago indicates he "can't wait until signing day" and an hour ago says "might shock the world with this one."

Certainly can't say anything conclusive, and obviously the second message could well be entirely unrelated, but reading between the lines with hunter green glasses...

Also, Tunji tweeted he'll be in town this weekend.

Where went the complaints about mid-week games on ESPN (like 4 or 5 in a row) being a bad thing?  Maybe they were a good thing...leading to more good.

I don't think it's as surprising as some people do. After all, is there a receiver's coach in the country that has had more receivers drafted than Dixon? Price and Brazill won't be his last ones, either, because he's an outstanding coach.
