Ted has Chris Frey of Upper Arlington in his Athlete class.....I put him on my D Wish List.....but when you watch some of this vid you can see the kid can play about anywhere.....not sure why we haven't offered yet.....at 6'2"-215 he could put on 25-30 pounds of muscle and be Monroe's Big Manz.....not his bowling ball Big Manz...but his run over ya/run around ya Big Manz:

Hey Doc, keep your eyes on this kid http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/recruiting-football/In-State-Tour-Gretna-1112969;_ylt=Ap5FjCJPNkEYNZtZpvJf7CBfs5B4 , Mick Stoltenberg.

This guy is all of 6'5" 240+lbs and can move. I had not heard of him last year but after the Rivals tour stopped through Gretna and I saw him a bit on film I asked some of our guys that are from that area about him and they have me convinced he is a stud.

Watch how well he runs/closes on the QB/RB and his physicality....Looks like he is very underrated...

Just wanted to see what you think....

Thanks,

Blob

DE Berger from Mentor begins the D list....albeit I like TE Kuhar better at DE.

It's nice to have flexibility with these guys....we already know injuries can ruin a season

Blob, Rivals, your link, is now showing him at 6'6" and 248.  Seems to see the play very well. Has excellent footwork.  Had a spin to the outside to hold contain that was a very good move.  I hope Ohio notices him.  Be a shame for him to wind up at North Dakota State or the like.

I'm not looking for a balanced class this year. I'm looking for 4+ dbs, and a couple OLBs. Last year they got the size. This year they need the speed.

That sounds about right....I always balance it out on my beginning wishlist since they sometimes land a student athlete just because he's the best player available......colleges seem to concentrate more on need than the pros where bpa makes sense.

Wow - It seems that forever they have been converting DE's because they had no true DT. (Sykes 2006-7, Goff 2007, Reese 2007, Hartke 2008, Hodge 2008-10, Huynh 2009-11, Corey Hastings 2011-12 Tony Davis 2012+). How about this lineup for next year? Looks oh-so-solid for years to come.

NG
Crutcher - Senior 6-2, 300
Tautuaiki - Junior 6-2, 290
Clark - R Sophomore 6-5, 365
Porter - R Freshman 6-1, 307

DT
Purdum - R Junior 6-3, 275
McLeod - Senior 6-5, 285
Tony Davis - Senior 6-3, 285
Andrew Bennett - R Junior 6-6, 258
Aloese - R Freshman 6-0, 296

Ok, good!  I just overlooked him on there and got nervous.  Was thinking you might know something I didn't.

I think we all hope he stays there!  This class looks outstanding!

That last post was just the Big Manz, for you, Monroe. But, since you asked, here are the not-quite-as-big Manz at DE, as the lineup will look next year:

Kendrick Smith - Senior 6-3, 260
Eric Price - Redshirt Junior 6-4, 250
Casey Sayles - True Sophomore 6-3, 263
Tarell Bashem - True Sophomore 6-4, 250
Kurt Laseak - Redshirt Sophomore 6-4, 242
Trent Smart - Redshirt Freshman 6-3, 237
Kyle Kuhar - True Freshman 6-4, 250
Kent Berger - True Freshman 6-4 220

Branz and Barber will be lost this year, and Smith next year, but all the rest of the ones playing are very young. This looks to be a very strong position for years to come. For those who care about these things, all of these guys are 2-star recruits, with the exception of Eric Price, who was a 3-start recruit in 2011.
