If he has to sit, and I assume he will, he would three years to play three starting in 2016.
Will he be able to participate with the scout team this 2015 season?

Below answers the QB or WR question.

I am transferring from the University of Minnesota to fulfill my dream of being a Division 1 quarterback at Ohio University #bleedgreen

Conner Krizancic was rated 3 stars only by ESPN. The other services had him as 2. And of course that was his rating as a WR. He only played one year of quarterback in high school and spent a year as a receiver again, so I'm sure he's still got a lot of learning to do. Either way, I'm really glad to have him and excited to see what he can do.

Exactly.

Adding him at QB will be very helpful. That position is very thin.

Yes, one year at QB, however, it was reported he earned 1st Tm All Ohio for that year, 3,200 passing and 1,000 plus rushing. Correct me if I am wrong.

You are right, and I think it was about 1,500 rushing. That was in 15 games because Mentor reached the state title game, in which he threw for over 400 yards. Lots of potential for sure.

Wonder if he comes here with dreams of being a qb, but leaves as a wr. Just saying that I've seen it happen to guys before (Febus, Bates). He's definitely a good athlete from what I can tell.

I'm sure he'll get a shot at QB. I'm also sure that if doesn't win the QB job, they will find a way to get him on the field.

This is exciting. I recall watching the state football championship and he reminded me of a basketball point guard gym rat type that comes from being a coaches son. Supreme confidence and tough as nails attitude but not cocky--sorta, I was born to play sports and I'll try and beat you any way I can.

Here's hoping he breaks every TT record on the books!

More competition means better options at kickoff. With over a year and a half of practice time and his pedigree and I have no worry that if healthy he will be ready to lead the Bobcats come 2016--of course if someone beats him out that would be saying much for the talent level at that position.

And like they said over on the basketball thread, having players from winning programs adds a level of intangible benefit to a program--this kid is a winner!

Wonder if Coach Kill had a kind thing to say about where OUr new transfer has chosen.

He has the chance to be the most like Vick/Gdowski which would be fine. Others have skills too. Deepest Ohio has ever been at QB. Now if OL can ...

Yes. Red Shirted last season for the Gophers so he will be a scout team QB this year.
