Looks like Ohio is making a late push to flip UC WR commit Connor Krizancic from Mentor High School.

Krizancic family very well known in Northeastern Ohio for producing outstanding athletes and coaches. Ohio would be an ideal place for him to play early and be in the mix for maximum exposure.

Why is this recruit listed as WR when he is a first team all Ohio division 1 quarterback?  The kid ran the heck out of the ball on the read option and played tough competition on the way to Mentor losing to Moeller in the state finals.

He played WR his Jr. year and switched to QB this season do to a team need.  He is a tremendous football player, no matter where you play him.

Not sure I answered it Uncle, TT in a foot race, how would he have fared with the receivers he pitched to?  I'd wager not many would have been faster.  If Bates could have touched the ball every time as a QB and had a higher potential for pass completions, his speed would have killed the opponents.

The position that the recruiting services list is not always the one the coaches have in mind.

So what's the word on this kid? Seems like a good get if we get a qb who can actually throw. I assume he wanted to come closer to home

His dad is Mentor's head basketball coach and a fantastic family and great hoops mind. Krizancic was an outstanding basketball player and a great quarterback in a spread offense at Mentor. Shows his athleticism that he can step up into the wideout spot at a Big 10 school. I would love to add this kid. Quality individual, great talent, good team guy, great get. Nice job staff!

The only thing that gives me pause is, why is Ohio his third school within a year?

Only thing I am aware of is he initially talked, maybe committed, to another school, perhaps Cincinnati.

Nothing on his Twitter to make me think he is at Ohio. Does he sit this year?

Correct. Beginning of this thread said he was a UC commit.

He wasn't on the eDirectory the other day, but he is now. Welcome to Ohio.

Does anyone know if he has to sit out this year? He hasn't played a collegiate game yet so does he get his eligibility? I hope he comes in this year. I think he can make an impact.

Pretty sure he loses a year because he redshirted this year. Will have two years to play. Heard he transferred and will play QB, not WR.

If he has to sit, and I assume he will, he would three years to play three starting in 2016.
