But disagree about the quality being that high. 7 teams with more 3-star guys than we have.
I understand that we have a lot more open spots than most of those 7, but still...
Look at the column "Average Rating". If you order by that column, WMU is at 81.82, while Ohio is at 81.22, followed by BG at 80.05, then Toledo at 79.39. Based on average rating, Ohio is second in the MAC, barely behind the leader.
Another way to look at it is to look at the average points awarded, and divide by the number of players. For Ohio you get 11.13. Second in the MAC is BG at 8.38, far behind. All the other leaders are between 6.8 and 7.7. Thus Ohio is way, way ahead in this rating. Why? I believe the "Points" are awarded partly based on need, or perhaps more points are awarded for certain positions than others. Ohio's class not only has highly rated players, the players are in positions of critical need, and are exactly what Ohio needs.
There is no question that the quality is high so far. The question is, can they fill the class with more guys like these first three?
