Banner of his Twitter profile is the official graphic from the team saying he's committed, but no announcement other than that. Has offers from Akron, Miami, BG, Ball State, Buffalo, & Kent.

To make it four, you have to include Wood and Kuhar. I guess he's expecting All-MAC years from them.

Not to burst anyone’s bubble...but Kuhar probably won’t start and I think he should be a TE...and Wood is always hurt.

Who do you think will end up 1 and 2 at RT? I have no idea. If you think they will move Pleasants from the backup LT to play RT, who will be the backup at LT?

God forbid that Lowry goes down...but it could play out with Pleasants moving to left tackle and Kuhar and maybe someone like the Albanian bear at RT.

That works....Pleasants should start at OT....but Anderson could move to OT.

Kitrell will get lots of pt at OG and Notestine is due to play some C or OG.

The one think I know is that there is a new coach, so he might change things out quite a lot to make things the way he wants them. That said, here's a shoot-from-the-hip 3-deep:
LT-Lowery, Fernandez, S. Jackson
LG-Anderson, Sink, Notestine
C-Hayes, Kitrell, Tusha
RG-Wood/Meservy, Grimes
RT-Pleasants, Kuhar, Irland

Meservy is an All-MAC potential on the line, no way he shares time with Wood. He will be a regular. He's our next Pruehs type of tough leader.

I think Meservy starts at Center.

“That’s exactly it,” Baum said. “Their coordinators have been there longer than anyone in the MAC, so there’s been a lot of continuity. He had a real nice talk with Solich. He’s like 70 years old (73 actually) but he really enjoyed talking to him and he said he can already name his successor.

“And their O-line coach (Bart Miller) is from Wisconsin, so he knows his stuff. They said they’re going to put together a better O-line than a lot of Power Five schools and that’s what it’s about for him. That’s the group he’s going to grind with every day and he wants to be surrounded by good individuals who are going to push him to get better every day.”

Two little nuggets from the above quote from the article (at least nuggets to me anyway):

1. Am I the only one that noticed that Coach Solich will be naming his successor? Maybe that's common knowledge but I haven't seen that so openly stated in print, and

2. Ohio's aspiring to have an O-line better than a lot of P5 schools. I love that philosophy! Ohio already has a good O-line, and if they can improve it even more, look out!

Yeah I'm ready for football season too....

I hope that is true re the Oline and Id add dline too. I think the dline we got the last 2-3 years is gonna blossom in next 1-2 years. And we saw what the offense can do with strong oline

Mark, I hadn't seen that before, either. It would certainly explain how the recruiting continues to be very strong, despite his age and lack of a long term contract. It assures continuity in the event he decides to retire some year.

OL and RB will need some help next year.

Already have one 3 star RB verbal....need a few more.

After watching Luke’s senior highlights I can see him with some pt next year at RG or RT.

I see this guy was ranked last in the class for Ohio by 247 sports...Anyone want to bet his career finishes near the top instead?
