My sources says "Should Be Early Next Week"

The source is the Horse btw. So looks like hope is still there.
What part of the horse is your source?

The mouth part of the horse and what I was worried about was "Should Be" and not the " Will Be".

I believe he'll arrive in Athens at some time simply because he hasn't gone anywhere else...

That was my thoughts but with the immigration situation it wouldn't have surprised me if all non white entrance was suspended.

Spoke with him earlier on campus and he is indeed a powerhouse and chomping at the bit.

Yeah, I am waiting to hear the details on that---the roster has him listed now as offensive line instead of DT

I’ve got to confess that I was never optimistic that we would ever see him here, so I was overly happy to have him show up. Now it’s time to see where he fits in. I hope he’s been staying in condition to step in and play some this year.

It was a typo. Roster now has him listed as DL.

Cool. thanks for the update. Someone is doing something, whoever is managing the roster, now they have him listed as a JR

Great to hear Denzel has arrived. He's lost two years already though...the roster is showing him as a Junior now. ; )

He probably looks like a Junior, and hopefully plays like one, but they should change him back to Freshman anyway. ;)

Today is a great day. Dax donning the green and white will be special. LB-ers are prolly stoked. All I keep thinking is how double teams will open up blitzing lanes for the LBs. We shouldn't give up more than 110 yards on the ground per game.

According to think tweet from Arkley, that is not a typo "currently". Not sure what that means...

ExCat21,
I would think it would include a heavy dose of speculation but could you provide your thoughts on how long you think it will be before he can start making a contribution? I can't help but think even being in Athens a week earlier would have helped greatly. As talented as he apparently is, I don't think he has as much experience as most recruits.

I read is that somewhere along the line his eligibility was started..and they are currently in an appeals process with the NCAA..

At this point 3 years to play 2....we could presumably use him for 4 games this season and keep his redshirt..
Either Way we got him and he's a BEAST.

Now, I think we may have an explanation for the delay. I suspect they were trying to clear this up. That would such for him to lose two years of eligibility, but even if he did, he's still a great addition.

Easy on the hype train boys. Suh, a Top 50 national recruit, didn’t even start one game til his third season in Lincoln, and that year he had one sack.

That said, this is great news.

His situation is a little different than your normal recruit. If he is a junior, you have to think about putting him in the rotation early in the season. But that's if he passes the conditioning test. If he passes that then based on film, he has the strength to play now. If it's 3 with 2 then you could play the 4 game rule and break down his film to see if he is ready now or needs a year to mature. In my opinion, he could play now but I'm redshirting him to get one year exposure to the system and "Unleash the Beast" in year 2. The ripple effect on DL recruiting years to come will benefit us. Personally, I really want to hear his story and understand what he's been through to get to this point.

Thanks for your reply ExCat21. I wondered how this might be viewed on the inside from a former player. I am interested in his story too. I have to admit that I have no idea what could result in a recruit only having two years of NCAA eligibility left immediately after high school. I don't think I have heard of that before. Thanks again!
