Yes, there were two that transferred out, but there are also a lot of deserving walkons. There might be more sign tomorrow, or maybe not. One thing, though, is that tomorrow the coaches will be able to comment on the players, and if someone wants to know the status of Daxon, tomorrow they can ask.

Arkley just tweeted that Daxon wanted to enroll early but his international status (Bahamas) made it difficult to do. Rourke and Blauser are the only early enrollees. No signings expected tomorrow.

Exhale......I can breathe now....the Danny Doom in me was thinking the worse.

Good for Rourke early.....he could compete for time after his brother leaves.

Other than Suh Daxon...I liked Blausers video...and I hope Daxon plays like Suh but doesn’t act like him...,he showed his jerky side Sunday.

With fall camp looming I am hoping we can expect to find out the status of Denzel soon and whether or not he will be joining the team. Post-signing details about him, in particular, seem to be pretty sketchy.

I'm not very hopeful at this point he seems to be in the Bahamas per his postings.

I would jump with joy if Denzel makes it here someday, but it’s getting to be a pretty long shot. We’ve been down this road way too many times to really believe it’s going to happen. But hope springs eternal.

For those that didn't want to spend the time to listen to full press conference, I transcribed the section related to this. At 39:12 of the press conference, Solich says:

"Gates should be ready to go in a few days. He's here on campus... has not played a role in anything that we've done athletically to this point. Denzel should be, actually should be, we feel, ready to go in a very short period of time. I think I'm allowed to mention these guys names since they did sign a letter with us, so we're, I think, safe there. So, there, one's joining, and one, we hope, will be joining very, very shortly."

He's very hesitant, and measured in terms of what he says about Daxon, as if he's uncertain about exactly how much he can say. He does expect Daxon to join the team very shortly.

I listened to the press conference live, but for Frank that’s a fair amount of stuttering about his status. It better be in a real little while, the season starts in about 3 weeks. Even if he does show up, when will he be ready to play?

I hope very shortly means before game # 1.

My guess is our current administration's ignoramus in Chief has him hung up on Student Visa issues...just a guess.

The liberals on this website blame conservatives for starting politics in threads. Explain how Daxon coming to Ohio and being late should be blamed on Trump.

Unless Denzel Daxon is truly the next Ndamukong Suh I cant see how he would help Ohio until at least mid-season even if he showed up tomorrow. That being said, I hope he shows up tomorrow...

Ha! you nailed it! Well, except I can see well enough to read that Daxon is a 3 star recruit (not a four star recruit) according to 247 sports and espn. And if he signs tomorrow he has missed 7 summer practices and a scrimmage so he probably wont help Ohio in a game for a while. No one has said he wont help Ohio as a member of the team.
And the part of my last post that reads "that being said,I hope he shows up tomorrow" indicates I want Daxon here and he is valuable.
