I bet if Miller comes back and the other kid commits the Burrow just comes to OHIO.

Just a guess, but while I hope this is true, I think someone is trolling here. Billy has said all along the Burrow won't be coming to Ohio.

How is Zanesville supposed to be this year? Score looked very impressive certainly...

Average at best. Lost a ton of players from last year's Final 4 Squad. I would not use this game to determine the prospects for AHS.

Also - I understand the Athens pride thing as much as anyone. However, the bottom line is this kid is going to the school in Columbus. His choice.

Can we move this thread to a general discussion board?

I have no idea where Mr. Burrows will end up.  I recently read that the hot shot quarterback that State was after has them as his favorite.  With Barrett as a freshman and Miller back next year plus this other kid who might commit.  I would think young Mr. Burrows would be having second thoughts now.  This certainly doesn't mean he will ever play in Athens.

Given his start I see no reason he should have second thoughts.

I see every reason that he should have first thoughts about OHIO. Look at the talent on this team now, what's redshirting, the commitments that we're getting.

Monroe, I am with you 1000 percent. Ohio certainly will be a great place for QBs in the near future. When I went through the college choice with my own son we went all over. His top three were all good and in the end my small town young man went out of state to the biggest of the three. Would not have been my first choice, but, by then he was picking between three full rides and he had all the information to make a good choice for himself. You raise em up, push them out of the nest and they fly.

Zanesville is terrible this year. They lost 18 starters from last year. Wish that game could have happened last year, would have been a great one.

Athens will face probably it's toughest opponent this week when it travels to Steubenville to face the Big Red. Prepare to have your team receive a smack down and be ready for a very physical style of football. ROLL RED ROLL!

This will be interesting. Athens has faced nobody in the league of Big Red. Steubenville got pushed around by Massillon in their only road game of the season. I would love to see Athens knoock them off. 0 respect for the way Steubenville handled itself over the last 18 months. A black eye for the entire state to bear.

Agree with your assessment Valley. Athens does not have a team on its schedule which will prepare it for the level of physical play it will see Friday night. Should be about 10,000 in the stands at kickoff. And you are right, Steubenville has certainly given the Valley if not the State a black eye. Finally, Ma'lik Richmond will be playing in the game.

Stubenville is not what they once were, and I'm willing the bet a few people in the stands will not rattle Burrow, Williams and company

What was the outcome of all of that? I remember reading about it when it first came out and made national headlines. Yahoo writer Dan Wetzel was in Steubenville for a long time while it was happening. Any links would be appreciated.

Outcome: Richmond and Mays found guilty. Both do short stints in Juvenille Detention centers and register as sex offenders. Richmond starts for the football team and Reno gets a 2 year extension and a raise. And so life goes on in the land that time forgot.

Hearing Big Red left Massillon Black and Blue. As many as 5 starters out this week. But you know how rumors are. Who knows? Go Bulldogs!

With Reno as HC, that could just be a psychological ploy for consumption in Athens. Trust me, even if injured you will see people on the field if Reno deems them necessary.

Will not matter, unless Stubenville is so dominate up front, that it's a constant jailbreak the Joey will do his thing.

Trey Williams is the one who will see his average fall in this game, but all he needs is a little crease.

If OSU gets Torrance Gibson and Miller returns, does Burrow stay at OSU? Crowded house. I won't totally give up hope.

You know, as does Valley Cat, that the Valley type of football is a different animal than it is down here in SEO. That said, if the o-line can open up some gaps in Dean Martin Blvd, Athens should score some points

Not to mention Barrett returning with, I believe, 3 years of eligibility left.
