I was shocked to hear about the UMASS Coaches rant and subsequent 1 week suspension.
It is quite possible that this coach will loose his job after the season, partly because of this rant and partly because the team is not winning. He is not showing the right way to conduct oneself after a tuff loss.
I just did a little digging and discovered that Whipple's contract ends 1/13/19.

GO BOBCATS
So many people are mad at Jimbo Fisher for grabbing a player's helmet and saying how he is a leader of young men who should know better. Whipple should elicit the same amount of vitriole if not more. In this day and age, with MeToo and with so many brave young ladies coming forward and showing the world the dark side of assault, this moron felt the need to use the word "rape" for a FOOTBALL GAME!!!!! And with a female head referee as well! He should lose his job now. Total disgrace. I have a daughter and cannot be convinced otherwise.

Bit over the top. Lose his job? For saying "we're down 16 and they (the refs) rape us"?

So this guy should never coach again, right? That one sentence is enough to exile him to the coaching death penalty? Never mind he was quoted right after a tough loss. He was probably mad. He has apologized for poor choice of words. None of that matters? He should be canned?

Sorry. Don't agree.

I'm sorry but that is 100% absurd.

And Ford gave way to Ross Comis for a few series.

Yikes!

Does PFF give out worst team defensive performances each week? I'd think Ohio has to have won the belt a few times already?

I go in December for Winter Meetings and another conference in February. Last time I was there I got LSU at 65-1 to win the Natty.

And trust me, the three years working in the athletic department was brutal since I couldn't make bets. But now that I work for myself buying and selling tickets, well....I'm in. Let me know when ya go.

FWIW, 5-0 USF beat UMass by, oddly enough, 58-42. USF is 91st in 1AA in total D.

Let's not forget, however, that Ohio played UMass with Whipple and USF played them w/o Whipple.
