I've been told that the influx of WVa fans buying season tickets has not been as strong as feared. Also, ticket sales to alumni and Athens locals has been very strong. This is a win-win, folks.

Don't be surprised if WVU has 40 % of the fans in Peden on game day.
Maybe just the 110 and WVU fans on the student side after halftime if the game goes badly. Hopefully, they have sufficient security.
I think you under estimate how many WVU fans will be there.
Not sure how saying the entire student side might be WVU fans except for the 110 after halftime is an under estimate.? Think they’ll move the 110 and it’ll be 100%?
If this game is close at half, I don't expect the halftime exodus we get for other games.
Over the last couple years, I've noticed this exodus has really slowed down. Maybe its just the games I've been too but I specifically recall mentioning this to my wife on multiple occasions and we were both surprised at the amount of students that stayed the whole game.

Last time I was in Peden was for Syracuse. The team didn't show anything to inspire confidence in the first half but the score was still in range. There really was no exodus. Iowa State looked like they stayed. Even FAU and South Alabama I believe both had to deal with either Ohio State on at the same time or rain and on TV it looked like students mostly stuck around.

The only things that will get students leaving will be if we're getting blown out or it's absurdly hot.

There's also a street festival uptown on Union Street at the same time as the game so I don't know if that will have any effect on the crowd.

Think there'll be a Pink Floyd cover band?

I feel torn between two tantalizing choices not unlike Larry David in this scene.

Hmm, WVU v Ohio in Peden Stadium or uptown street fair as suggested by Alan Swank.

Go early hit uptown and make them both with the game at 4pm.

Face painting for kids, so that's another + for the street fair vs. game. Plus Whit's will be open...the deciding factor for your spouse (hence, you as well).

If we really want to capitalize on this opportunity we will have a children's archery stand like they had at the Bahamas Bowl

Since it is on campus I don't think they will let us use children for target practice.

I don’t know if this has been discussed elsewhere already, but I’m noticing now that we are going to be on ESPNU for this game. Would be great to get a win at home while playing on the hidden corner tv in every sports bar across the country.

FWIW about 750 single game tickets just opened up for season ticket holder presale on the student side priced at $50 dollars. August 11th 4pm is the deadline.

Presale is still active when I was logging in. Tomorow will be the presale will be over and anyone can buy game tickets. Right now 41 tickets remain total on the home side and about 350 for purchase over on the visitor side. I would say the athletic department has done its best to limit WVU fan purchases.

WVU sold out through Ohiobobcats.com. FWIW, Seatgeek is listing a ticket in Phillips Club for $1,015 on the 50 yard line.

One great development I've noticed looking through our single game tickets for the other games is ALL premium sections are available on a single game basis. You can buy Phillips Club seats to Bowling Green for $67 and Tower Club for $140. You can also buy the first four rows of the student side for $34. Ideally I'd love for those to still be student seating, but if it makes money, that's not a bad thing.

Cant remember Ohio U ever storming the field for football (not that there have been any notable games to do so in Peden) but I wonder if this is one of those games? If they find a way to somehow win of course.
