32 on the bench, that has to be close to a record for a running back.

No wonder he broke so many tackles. Sheesh! And he probably out benched every lineman. Somewhere Belicheck is looking under a rock. AJ does so many things well....reminds me of our Lexington, Kentucky native Rex Burkhead. Freakin' workhorse. So proud of AJ. And he was always niice and showing the old head teammates respect when we visit. Love this kid!

Seeing more numbers:
40 - Papi 4.42, AJ 4.48
Bench - AJ 32, Croutch 25
Vertical - Papi 40, AJ 36

For AJ:
40 time would have been 5th fastest at the Combine (fastest was 4.40
Bench would have been 2d (highest RB was 34)
Vertical would have been 6th (highest was 40)

Papi's 40 time would have been 8th (fastest was 4.31)

Croutch's bench would have been 4th among linebackers.

Good for AJ; he deserves it!

Given his numbers, I can't imagine AJ NOT getting drafted. Whoever drafts him will be getting a gem!

Edit: And Papi too!

I'm assuming you're comparing Papi to WR's? With all the pass-catching backs in the NFL now, I could see him fitting that kind of role seeing that he's got experience at both HB and WR.

Yes, I was comparing him to WR, and AJ to bancks. If you compare Papi to backs, he's barely behind the fastest back (4.40) and tied for the highest vertical.

Joel Anderson (18) and Joe Lowery (23) had low reps on the bench press according to Pete Nakos, Nakos also said Papi ran a 4.33. After Basham low number on the bench press, we may need to focus on that during winter conditioning. Lowery and Anderson are still very outstanding tackles. Anderson was also injured during vertical drills. Nelson reportedly ran 4.45 and 4.41 which is great for a safety. Quinton Maxwell threw passes to Papi and AJ. AJ has been working out as a slot receiver, he would be a monster in the slot. He breaks a lot of tackles.

Man, I hope he gets a shot with an NFL team because I know this kid has what it takes to be a really good player at the next level.

According to that, he had a 4.0 in the shuttle and 6.8 in the 3 cone. Best at the combine was 4.1 in the shuttle, and 6.89 in the 3-cone.

There is no question he will get a shot with an NFL team. The only question is whether it will be as a draft pick, or as an undrafted free agent. With his pro-day numbers, that will certainly move him up.
