Happy for Duncan Brune. I got a good feeling about this kid from Germany.

Hopefully we're wide awake now.

Why do we play down to teams in smaller divisions

What in the actual fart? What a sad defensive performance today. Wish Nowinski could stop by practice this week and swear at people.

Looks like Sieh woke up with the running game.

Even if we win this, it's obvious the defense and special teams didn't get the wake-up call. Ugly.

One of the better things about this game is the 1-2 punch of Bangura and Brune in the running game. They were awake.

Wouldn’t mind a drama free game. Get some 3/4s in. No injuries.
Wouldn't mind a drama free game where we hang 50 and Parker and Sieh rush for 100+ each. :)
Got my 50 burger with cheese.

Definitely didn’t expect to give up more yards to an FCS squad than the #1 team in the country, but a win is a win is a win.

Edit*

REALLY wanted 200 for Chase. Stat padding all day. Kid is on a tear. He had 470 yards receiving all last year. He has about 450 through 4 games. Monster.

This really was an ugly, ugly game. GWU was 5-5 on 4th downs and bombed us. We had 710 yards but they had 555. But things could be worse. Both Toledo and Miami got whipped very late in tight games.

Fiami unfortunately gave unbeaten UNLV a tough game.

That Anthony Love kid for GWU is from Grove City? Can we get him next?

Jeepers. Ill take it . However, they came to beat us. That game was not over until the band played. We were beaten off the ball too many times.

I'll bet that GW makes the FCS playoffs and probably wins a game or three.

Defense has been a problem all season long. Given up 30+ pts in three of the first four games. Last season they didn't give up a first-qtr TD until the bowl game. They've already given up four in four games. Has the team playing from behind early a lot. And opponents are 10 for 13 (83%) on fourth down.Keeps the D on the field more. 2-2 is about the best we could hope for at this point, but today clearly showed that there's a lot of work to do before BG comes to town next week.

Maybe because "we" spent the last 3 weeks playing up to P5 teams?

This game should have been a 38-17 but with GW's unusual decision to go for it on 4th instead of kick FG's and be successful with it continued to push Ohio all game leading to Ohio needing more scores to keep it comfortable. GW coaching staff should get credit for the gameplan. Sieh and Duncan did have breakout games and quick scoring drives. Almost 50 points scored from the 2nd quarter on is a satisfactory performance against an FCS program.

Dorwort was impressive.

26 yards per catch average against anybody is good.

Where has that guy been hiding?

Dorwart came in during the second qtr to replace Max Rodarte, who was carted off the field with a leg injury. On his first play (or one of the first) Dorwart streaked down the sideline in front of the Ohio bench and made a difficult catch surrounded by a couple of defenders. Came in with 0 receptions on the season and I believe 0 targets.

Looked like an ankle injury for Rodarte, hope its not too bad and can see him back out there in a few weeks.
