Not going to lie, it was painful to watch another Chip loss. Even with the loss, I still believe we have a shot.
Turnovers and kicking game definitely were the game killers. Back in the day, fumblers had to carry a ball to class and position teammates had to try to punch it out and bring it back to the stadium. Hopefully they are keeping up with that tradition.
As for kicking, I hope the walk-on door is open because my guy struggled last night. Not saying he can't overcome this but I hope he is being pushed.
Marlin Brooks was dearly missed last night. I think he could have been another x-factor in stopping Pimpleton in the motion routes vs man coverage.
As for offensive line, we might want to move Jackson inside put Amberguley on the left.
I would also recommend creating plays with 2.0 and Armoni in the game at the same time. We have to maximize their strengths in formations to give defensive coordinators an extra wrinkle....something else to think about at night.
As stated by a user above that our one-dimension philosophy with the QBs was adjusted to well by CMU. To be honest, it was their formula last year to get to the MACC so it was an easy adjustment for them. Throw that extra wrinkle in there, and pass/run becomes a little harder to dial in on.
Defense- stop trying to make the Madden hit-stick tackle with shoulder only. The best teams wrap up and if you can't make the solo...hold on for your teammate to clean up. Need to see 11 hats to the ball every play to grade out.
Overall, I like how they competed and I believe the mistakes can be corrected. Tough loss but if we don't create wrinkles I think we should go 3 plays each with the QB next game and then go with the got hand. If not start, Kurt is until Armoni is able to run the full playbook and not just limited plays.
