ESPN+ without students on campus? I've been told for years that that is impossible on our campus (while it's doable at other MAC schools).

But if it is possible, why can't home basketball games during break be on EPSN+?

Maybe Marty Bannister could add some insight.

Basketball is different than football. The ESPN+ broadcast are still put on by contracted w/ the MAC. Complete with professional production trucks and crews. Basketball is fully produced in-house with students.

With Covid and the fact that attendance IF any, is it possible that the university could contract with an outside entity to provide their services that the students would normally do? I know we’ve become used to no b-ball telecasts in the OCC portion of the schedule when their are few if any students on campus but again in this era of Covid and no fans in the stands it would be a nice gesture on the university’s part to hire those services out.

Just saw a report that as many as 16 BG players who were recently disciplined for failing a drug test could face suspension. So BG might be shorthanded this Saturday. https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/report-col... /.

I also saw that BG's coaches tested positive for covid last week and missed the Buffalo game but should be cleared for Saturday.

Any word on our covid situation?

BG was already well below the 85 scholarships limit even before these suspension hit. To say they're shorthanded is an understatement. On top of that they are awful again this year. It's hard to believe how far they've fallen in short time. It wasn't but 5 years ago when they were winning the MACC and beating Big Ten teams.

Four players have been suspended indefinitely: linebacker Isaiah Johnson-Mack, defensive backs Ty Redding and Rodell Rahmaan (all redshirt seniors) and wide receiver Noah Massey (redshirt sophomore). Massey was third on the team with six catches for 121 yds. Johnson-Mack and Rahman, each had nine tackles, tied for tenth on the team.

I listened to Frank on this weeks preview and am very concerned.
It appeared to me that he is concerned about the team.
He is concerned about injuries, Covid, not playing Miami, or just general stuff related to 18 days off?
Thankfully we are playing BGSU and Vegas like us to the tune of a 25.5 point spread.

My BGSU grad friend calls this the Bowling Green Point-a-Minute Team. Unfortunately for them, he's talking defense not offense.

Anyone have a picture of the 1960s uniforms?

I was thinking the helmets with the state of Ohio on the side. We wore those in 2004 and haven't seen them since.

I'm not sure on that one. You can watch all ESPN broadcats through ESPN+ if you subscribe to the channel that is on. If the game officially is moved to ESPNU, I'm afraid you'll have to have a cable package with ESPNU in order to watch. It's still showing as ESPN+ on the ESPN+ site, so as a non-subscriber to ESPNU, I'm hopeful that will remain.

Edit: An ESPN representative I chatted with said the game would be available via both ESPN+ and ESPNU, so a subscription to either should allow you to watch, if he is correct.

From what I've heard, the Akron game may have been the 110's only performance of the year.

I was told that the administration hasn't invited (allowed) them to perform at the BG game.
