Life in Ohio is basically back to normal minus capacity restrictions. Bar seating being closed seems like a very small inconvenience in retrospect. People are still free to order their alcohol from the bar and take it to a table?
Where I live in North Jersey there are a number of bars who don't serve food.
So they're still closed completely.
Restaurants are at 50% capacity.
You can't go to the bar, buy a drink and take it to a table.
You have to be seated, at a table, and order food.
There is also a 90 minute time limit per table.
So you can't watch a full game.
I have two friends that own bars/restaurants.
They say having the bars closed hurts a lot.
In many cases, people would come in to watch games, and then decide to
order food.
They said during football and basketball seasons the bar is packed from
Kick/tip off, till the end of the last game.
Derby Day is also really big.
Hopefully, Murphy will announce today that bars can open in time for that.
But, based on the stunt he pulled last Summer with indoor dining, no one trusts him.
Its better then it was just a couple of months ago (25 %) capacity. But still not good.
